Should children be allowed to watch R-rated movies?

Depending on what you're defining as children, and on the films in question.
There's nothing wrong with, for example, a 14-year-old watching The King's Speech or a 13-year-old watching Blues Brothers or Trading Places. (all great movies that were rated r for language, drug references, or at the very most a bare breast)

Not my problem you were neglected as a child and allowed to watch inappropriate shit. We didn't get any channels on tv, just had a vcr, and I was only allowed to watch SOME kids' movies and some old western/war films. Anything even remotely sexual or "toilet humor" was off-limits. For a couple years we had no tv at all, no internet until I was around 13, and no video games until I was almost 18. I didn't see my first horror movie until I was 17.

This is the way it should be done, one computer in the living room so that you can at all times monitor what websites your children go on.

Lol no, got my first shotgun when I was 9. My parents are very conservative Christians but they've mellowed out a lot over the years. I was kind of jealous that my younger siblings were pretty much allowed to do whatever they wanted compared to me, but on the other hand some of them haven't turned out as good as me so far. To be fair, it isn't illegal for kids to watch r rated. It requires parental guidance. And jts illegal to sell them tickets and such. As for me, my brother is 10. I've taken him to nearly all capeshit stuff, and they have several bad words in them. He's seen some R rated movies with me in the house, stuff that might just have curse words or gun violence. Nudity is off limits for me.
