You're assuming the market will bear the price of the increased utility of each worker through a price raise.

Because of how businesses tend to function you would experience an increased wage because of the shrinking labor pool, but the value of this increased wage isn't going to come from the market purely because the market won't bear the increase. People will buy other things, or not buy at all if the price is not deemed fair.

What you would see is that those higher in the chain of management would experience shrinking wages as they have to accept a lower paid wage to allow lower ranking members to be hired as without them the business would earn nothing.

Those that would be most negatively effected by this are those with extremely thin profit margins; e.g., larger corporations. For instance, McDonalds has a very small profit on items sold, but their sheer bulk outweighs it.
