Is he supposed to stand up and tell them they're lying to him?

While it *should* have been clear it was a shady deal, it's also just as likely he's a small fish at a small fish company precisely *because* Hillary's camp wanted the deniability of Platte being clueless.

Again, a lot has come out in the past two years that wasn't known back then, and if the next President of the USA wants something (and there's no clear indication that it's *not* legal)...it would be difficult to tell them to go fuck themselves.

And even if this guy did walk, who would he call? The FBI? Ghostbusters? He leaves in the middle of this high-priority scrub job and he's *really* likely to get "depressed." And go skydiving at night. After he shot himself. And land in a wood chipper.
