Holy shit, it is. Kasparov, Aronian, Svidler, Gelfand, the Polgar sisters, are all jews. Jews coalesce less at the top because chess has become less international, so in history, you had Lasker, Botvinnik, Tal, Smyslov, r Radjabov, Korchnoi, Steinitz, Khalifman, and of course Fischer. Maybe the ratio of Jews to gentiles is lower in the higher echelon of chess than say, the membership of the communist party of Russia, but more than the ratio that one would expect considering their population sizes in countries that dominate or dominates chess.
With the exception of Alekhine and Fischer, there is no basis of connecting antisemitism with chess.
