They realize the Americans and Capitalism was right. Sure they "won" but their country is still shit because of communism.

Because Vietnamese got what they wanted, us out of their country, we are still in Korea and technically still at war. This is like asking why don't the Germans and Japanese still hate the US.

>country is still shit

Fucking ameritards, go to asia, you would be shocked by the reality of the situation. These "poor" countries are more developed and modern than north america. Sure there are some traditional bamboo hut farmers, but most people live in cities like pic related, and make ridiculous wages compared to their cost of living.

When you call your telecom company and get some asian chick in vietnam, she's making around $10 american an hour and she's literally funding a good lifestyle for her entire family.

There is a huge lie about what asia is actually like in the west, it's fucking embarrassing how shitty our cities are.

US put an armistice on North Korea.

NK is acting crazy because they want to trigger an peace accord so nations can trade with them

Because in their mind, and factually they won the war

Also I've been to Vietnam. Fun as fuck. The food was fire. Totally worth the month of bullshit to get a visa.

Have you been to Vietnam you fucking kike? There's no fucking highways there. It takes weeks just to move across that small ass country.

My ex was Vietnamese and visited frequently.

She painted a far different picture than you somewhere between all the beggar children, filth, and lack of wild animals (They had eaten literally fucking everything in the country).

Hesrightyouknow.morganfreeman

Burgers knowledge of the outside world...

Ofcourse Vietnam has highways you mong.

Are you stupid? it's a $65 train ticket from ho chi minh to hanoi on the express route

Vietnam went through hard times. Those days are almost over for most the country. To see true poverty you need to go to cambodia/laos where families sell their 9 year old daughters to sex tourists from germany. 40 million americans live below the poverty line here, that's more than exist in my entire country. Poverty exists eveyrwhere you go.

Because unlike Korea, north or south, we had a long history of oppression by China, and without the Soviet support, China has become the main player for the last decades. America just seems like the lesser of two evil compared to the Chinese commies.

Ignore the cuck flag.

>most people live in cities
90% of Vietnamese population are farmers and/or living in small towns, 75% of Vietnam is covered in mountains and rainforests. Take your fantasy somewhere else.

And the development they DO have can be attributed to embracing capitalism.

It was much worse under communism, though. Stop getting so upset.

I was wrong, but you're also wrong. According to the CIA factbook roughly 1/3rd of the country lives in urban areas.

agree

agree, communism is and always will be a disaster since it's so obviously flawed.

I guess this is technically urban.

LMAO What is this bullshit? Fucking Canadians man.

How can they have highways when people don't even have cars?

Most people drive their mopeds and if you do have a car it has to be the off-road type, like the ones in the bakcground.

yet it's still safer and cleaner than US ghettos

see pic related, they have modern infrastructure.

Just imagine every day you piss and shit in the water below your house and you get to thank communism for it.

Why is it always Americans. Go visit it's poor but of course there's highways you need to travel.

No traffic, all cars are either transport trucks or off-road types, because they know you have to get off the pavement and drive through muddy roads up ahead,

>tfw no paved roads

why are you so butthurt over vietnam's success after embracing modern capitalism? Their country is doing quite well and developing quite nicely, you should step outside of yours and see the world.

>tfw your commie govt finally uses that US aid to build a bit of paved road

Is that why they have to go work in China?

They prefer the US to China.

I remember reading a story from the Vietnam war era where a North Vietnamese official said something to the effect of "The US is here now, but one day they will be gone. China will always be here." basically explaining why they could forgive and forget the war so quickly.

They might be getting US weapons soon to protect themselves against the Chinese.

>Thanks to communism I get to share a moped

Because they are the meanest motherfuckers in the valley.

>commie drivers

Fun thing is that Ho Chi Mihn seeked aid from the US against the French. If everyone had played their cards right, Vietnam could have been independent with special relations to both France (for old time's sakes) and the US.

So it's really funny to see the failed video game journalist from Top Cuck being and edgelord over wearing a motorcycle helmet with stars and stripes in Vietnam.

No, britbong. It's in UK you'll get lynched for wearing a motorcycle helmet with stars and stripes.

Because they fought for independence not ideology. Same reason Americans don't hate Brits

I think this is it. After reading descriptions of what communism was like in Vietnam (somewhere between Chinese and Cambodian communism in terms of how awful it was), I guess that the Vietnamese realized their mistake and wished they had kept the Americans around. China also invaded some time in the late 70's, so that may have put things in perspective for them.

Poverty is relative. Americans in poverty are fucking lower middle class by Japanese standards, let alone the rest of Asia.

Are you actually Vietnamese? My best friend is, he has spent years in Ho Chi Minh City and he says it's fucking terrible. Frequent random blackouts, streets are all dirt, people are noisy and fucking annoying and nobody can drive properly, everyone is poor and it is obvious that they are poor, everything everywhere is filthy, beggars all over the place. It's a shithole through and through according to him, the dude works 60 hours a week in a meat packing plant and lives in a basement here in Canada and he says he wouldn't trade it even for a luxury home in Vietnam, the country is just that shitty.

I don't know much about the country, but I know some girls my age that are Half Viet and they are qtaf

>go to asia

No, I can just go to Canada

It's a nice place to visit relatives but not to live. If you have relatives that live down there comfortably its fine. Your friend probably was on the poor end of the spectrum. Like street rat poor.

His family is rich, his aunt in particular lives in what I can only describe as a full-blown mansion here in Ontario, I've been there a few times myself, it's the nicest house I've ever been inside. There is definitely a lot of money in his family, but in Vietnam the best you can get seems to be an apartment with failing power half the time.

Vietnam is fucking trash.

Sure thing leaf. Like I said it's a nice place to visit not live.

Its true that Asian cities are much better than the jewish media portrayal but they're still not that amazing. Lots of apartments are trash and you have shit internet outside of an internet cafe. Appearance wise in cities looks pretty bad too, tons of people(even for city standards) and semi-dirty. Mass transport puts US stuff to shame though

It was really more about independence than ideologies.

Ho Chi Minh asked help from the US against the French first before resorting to communism, but was refused.

So he went to the commie side and shit went downhill from there. It was more of a means to a end than him actually giving a shit about communism.

That said, both sides, the Vietcong and the South Vietnamese Army were horrid people. Fuck em both. The only people that didn't deserve any of this were the peasants that just wanted to live on their farm.

I'm Vietnamese and my great-uncle ended up having to go to a reeducation camp (he was a civvie in the south). They fed him pig feed and forced him to recite communist teachings and shit. He eventually was released and moved to the US with my family. I feel so bad for him because he's been through some shit.

I went to Vietnam and I realised 75% of the worlds population would happily trample over my dead body to get a tenth of what I have, and that any form of hard economic and cultural protectionism is number one priority.

>he actually looked up the statistics
I know I exaggerated, however I lived in what you can call the inner city, but my neighbors have a shitload of land right there to grow vegetables and raise chickens, hidden between layers of concrete buildings that nobody lives in (mall and offices), so I guess our definitions of "urban" are not the same. Also my hometown, in which everyone are farmers, now qualify as urban just because they extended a bus route over there, bringing drugs and crimes from the cities with them while building casinos and slut houses. Urban doesn't mean developed. Don't let yourself be fooled by tourist attractions and shiny pictures. Look at New York. We think it's cool and all, but my friend who went there said Time Square smells like piss.

hey southern bro, on behalf of the commies I apologize to your family. We are all Vietnamese after all.

funny dat, Africa is only a one hour drive from where I live too.

Where do you live m8, I'll fight you IRL

Never play against anyone with the last name "nyguyen" in poker.
