The example I used was me doing nothing wrong on a routine stop, complying, and unconsciously putting my hands in my pocket to calm down - something I actually do that might get me killed by a cop who uses "split-second decision making" as a justified reason for shooting. At no point I was ignoring orders, because why would I ignore orders if I did nothing wrong? I have no reason to escalate the situation. Yet a simple mistake like raising your hands up too fast will get you killed these days.

If you're not complying that's a good reason to believe you're a threat, and I mentioned that already by saying this nigga escalated the incident beyond what was necessary.
