It boggles my mind to see some of the Polish that come here. There was one homeless guy I saw on TV that had been living on the Dublin streets for about five years and can't get a job, so why does he stay here? What makes being homeless here so much better than Poland? He could only speak Polish too so no one here understood him. Even if he had no family or anyone he could stay with back in Poland he could at least talk to the occasional person.

There was another story when they first came here about a Polish family that set up camp in a roundabout. I cannot think of a worse place to stay. You'd have no privacy, the sound of cars would keep you up, it's difficult enough to cross a busy road and a roundabout is almost non-stop traffic and there's the risk of one of the kids wandering into traffic.
