Other non-IQ differences in behavior and thinking. The chinese are duplicators, not innovators. They can make functional societies, but they don't seem to achieve greatness in the same way that the west has over centuries. They may invent certain technologies and build impressive things, but they don't seem to have the mindset to go out and explore or to do anything innovative with their tech.

Perfect example would be that fleet of xbox huge ships that one chinese emperor made. You know the one I'm talking about. But what did he do with this fleet? He just had them straddle the coast and paraded them around to show everyone how impressive and badass he was. But that was basically it. Meanwhile, Columbus is taking his 3 modest ships and discovers the western hemisphere, and Europeans end up colonizing and settling the new world and mastering the seas. But why didn't china ever go out and explore or colonize. Their thinking was too safe and insular. They thought "why would we need to explore and find new trade routes? We have everything we need here. They can come find us if they want to trade"

I'm not sure if this is purely a cultural phenomenon or if there's a selective pressure and genetic component. There probably is, because these things are rarely arbitrary. But regardless of the reason, creativity is frowned upon in china. Everyone does as they're told.
