I currently work 6-2 as a telephone switch qne voip administrator for a building of 2,000 people its not too bad. Not too much work to do and I am the only one who knows their system so they can't really get rid of me.

It keeps me in shape, I'm in a position where I have a ton of freedom, and I can work as much OT as I desire.
It pays enough to survive, though that's the worst part is the pay.

Last Friday most my day was cleaning up (I make explosive material so we have to keep the exposure down) and sitting down talking to my co workers. Pretty stress free

Generally work 3pm-11pm. I'm basically never tired any more because if I want to get up at 8am I can. If I decide I need more sleep I get up at 10am. Have the rest of the morning and early afternoon to go to gym, do my errands etc. Cook myself a nice lunch and then I go to work at pic related.

I'll work hard generally for 2-3 weeks at a time then take a week off.
During harvests or other times of high paying loads I may work more.
I've also taken months off at a time because my shit is paid for.

I work construction. They made me work in the office for nearly two years as a manager. At that point i demanded a pay cut to foreman rate and the opportunity to use my tools haha. $10 less an hour, best decision i ever made. Being happy matters

Truth is some truck drivers remain as company drivers because they are happy with making 1000 per week.
Most remain as company drivers because they have shit business skills, no money, no credit and no sense.

After expenses I clear between 70-80k per year.
I take a lot of time off though as well.
I also get to choose where I live. No inflated housing markets for me.
I take at minimum 1 solid week off per month and I do not work at all from mid November until after the second week in January.
I spend time in the Caribbean and visit family for the holidays in that time.
In know a few guys that haul livestock and will gross 40000 in a month. They are keeping at east half....
I wouldn't do it though. Nasty, dirty work and you cannot run legal log books.

I am putting enough money away that I would be able to invest into self driving trucks or have capital for another business.
Some things will be further down the road for automation like trucks used in fields during harvest, logging trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, etc.
It will be the long haul freight vehicles that would likely see automation first.

Some company drivers can make very good money.
Fedex, UPS otr truckers make what I make in a year but not as little as I work.

And you don't need to learn coding/networking to start off. There are plenty of legit work from home jobs out there for beginners. My favorite are search engine/web site evaluation positions. Very flexible scheduling, decent pay($12+, depends on the company) and you get to browse websites and watch youtube videos for money. Look into Lionbridge or ZeroChaos. Also check into some dedicated work from home forums, like Work Place like Home or WAHM. You can find full time work with companies like Amazon.

Just know that about half of the jobs hire you as a contractor, so no benefits and you have to deal with self-employment taxes. But it's a small price to pay to be able to sleep in till noon, work however many hours you want, and not deal with shitty office drama.

So I work 40 hours a week at different times of day, sometimes 9-5 sometimes 2pm-10, and everything in between

Its alot of time every week, every day I work is eaten up by sleeping enough to make it through the next day, finding some food that doesn't make me shit water, getting drunk or high enough to be able to bear working that much, and then sitting and just trying to relax my legs and body for a few hours after work

Every week I have so much free time but all of it is spent preparing for work or recovering from it

the only free time I get I use to proceed with my life plans, I always have one goal, sometimes that goal is to save money to buy something, so I just spend time doing free things on the internet or videogames, other times my goal is to build or make something, so I do that for a few days, either way, it helps slow down life a little, i was NEET for 4 years pretty much, and it flew by
