HOW DO WE WITNESS TRUMP CRASH AND BURN?
Joseph Jackson
Thank fuck, hopefully people start to learn the snp is not even a nationalist party and are just another shitty leftist party.
Hopefully they also learn not everything is because of le westminster boogeyman.
I still wish ukip or a ukip style party would stand some mps or msps up here though, I really liked thier policies on veterans.
Joseph Jones
Lose some fucking weight, Woes. Also, buy a new tshirt. The ragged collar on the 3 in a pack shirts you have is fucking triggering me. Keep up the good work though.
Tyler James
Hope some yanks link a discord again, I had fun last time watching the conventions with them.
Luis Nelson
Lads I was thinking of putting together a required reading & watching list for Brit/pol/
Was going to categorize it into
>British Political Introduction (ie how the system works and an evaluation of it) >British Political History >British History >Economics(?) >Self Improvement (this one is needed for everyone on Cred Forums tbqh) I'd need a little bit of help in making a decent list but I figure it could be something worthwhile doing and it would also help give newfags something to do while lurking.
I'm making a discord for Nov 8th lad, going to be a blast Watched Brexit with a bunch of lads from Cred Forums and it was 10/10
>, I really liked thier policies on veterans. Its how I got my mum to vote for them in Hollyrood this year.

How does Mehdi Hasan keep getting the video removed from youtube?
Does he own the copyright?
Elijah Thomas
Why does the debate have to be on so late, I'm going to have to watch it tomorrow.
Everytime I read a new policy this guy comes out with it irritates me, but I've come to realise these policies will never get him in power.
Lincoln Harris
We have no fucking clue honestly

I don't think ukip stood in holyrood this year did they?
The election was back before I even knew about politics and just blindly voted snp, really regret that now.
Matthew Smith
Rhyme of the ancient mariner is pretty good and Frankenstein has its place, considering the influence its had. The poetry is where it goes full trash though, and of of course the pointless 'muh evil whitey' books that are actually American.

Well, he's right. Labour is deeply out of touch with many of their traditional voters, their policies are the polar opposite of what much of the working-class Labour heartland believes in.
Cumbria is a great example; Trident (BAE) and nuclear power (Sellafield) are two of the biggest employers in the county
Brandon Gray
they did on second ballot, not first

Christ, you have my sympathies.
Gotta have William Blake, by the way.

If you're going to that much effort anyway it would be nice to have some British philosophy/theology as well.
Jordan Campbell
Won't mean shit anyway if zero-hour contracts aren't dealt with.
Christopher Johnson
if you can think of anything right now let me know
I'll make a note of it and save it, I was planning to do this when I got home from uni tomorrow but a start now would be brilliant.
and yeah I agree about Literature and Philosophy/Theology.
The reading list should be fairly simple - the watch list will be more difficult.

I was talking to someone doing a politics degree. They don't get taught ideology, didn't know what the history behind the right and left wings was, and didn't know the history of the political parties. One of her coursemates was earning credits while going on protests for the Stop the War Coalition.
I have literally no idea what they teach at our schools and universities these days.
Cameron Perez
Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? Fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?

It'd be good to at least get a start, if someone has a complete one it would be fantastic
Haven't read that as yet desu. Have been meaning to read a lot more into Russel's work.
>They don't get taught ideology, didn't know what the history behind the right and left wings was, and didn't know the history of the political parties. Jesus Christ that's disgusting.
This is what put me off of doing a PolSci degree.
The thing about us having a reading list is it would also help anons doing PolSci degrees to actually learn something, or to give their friends worthwhile reading material as well things for them to read on their own.
We have a very active general and we need to use it far better than we do right now, especially with all the plebbit crossposters who will go back and spread what we say here for upboats.

THERE'S a breathless hush in the Close to-night - Ten to make and the match to win - A bumping pitch and a blinding light, An hour to play and the last man in. And it's not for the sake of a ribboned coat, Or the selfish hope of a season's fame, But his Captain's hand on his shoulder smote "Play up! play up! and play the game!"
The sand of the desert is sodden red, - Red with the wreck of a square that broke; - The Gatling's jammed and the colonel dead, And the regiment blind with dust and smoke. The river of death has brimmed his banks, And England's far, and Honour a name, But the voice of schoolboy rallies the ranks, "Play up! play up! and play the game!"
This is the word that year by year While in her place the School is set Every one of her sons must hear, And none that hears it dare forget. This they all with a joyful mind Bear through life like a torch in flame, And falling fling to the host behind - "Play up! play up! and play the game!"

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.

I only started smoking once I'd left university. I buy it with my own money. I smoke maybe 5-6 times a year. It's nice, like relaxing with a quite drink on a summer's day, but I don't understand the "dude, weed lol" movement. All things in moderation, and balanced in a healthy life.

Have you ever sat out drinking in the sun on a hot summer's day? Your brain switches off and you don't want to move? A bit like that. You get lightheaded and just want to sit down and relax. You get very hungry.

I'd really appreciate it if you put the poll in the next OP as well.

She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that’s best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes; Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o’er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express, How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears. I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him. The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interrèd with their bones. So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus Hath told you Caesar was ambitious. If it were so, it was a grievous fault, And grievously hath Caesar answered it. Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest— For Brutus is an honorable man; So are they all, all honorable men— Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral. He was my friend, faithful and just to me. But Brutus says he was ambitious, And Brutus is an honorable man. He hath brought many captives home to Rome Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill.

I'm this will appeal to the NEETS on here somehow idk
Whenever Richard Cory went down town, We people on the pavement looked at him: He was a gentleman from sole to crown, Clean favoured, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed, And he was always human when he talked; But still he fluttered pulses when he said, "Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich—yes, richer than a king— And admirably schooled in every grace: In fine, we thought that he was everything To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light, And went without the meat, and cursed the bread; And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, Went home and put a bullet through his head.

I will. One I move out I'll start working out a bit. Get the cardio going. I'll mention it to the doc, too. I'll turn down painkillings. Might just be that the single bed is too small and I just need a bigger one to stretch out.

I like John Betjeman for some reason:
Phone for the fish knives, Norman As cook is a little unnerved; You kiddies have crumpled the serviettes And I must have things daintily served.
Are the requisites all in the toilet? The frills round the cutlets can wait Till the girl has replenished the cruets And switched on the logs in the grate.
It's ever so close in the lounge dear, But the vestibule's comfy for tea And Howard is riding on horseback So do come and take some with me
Now here is a fork for your pastries And do use the couch for your feet; I know that I wanted to ask you- Is trifle sufficient for sweet?
Milk and then just as it comes dear? I'm afraid the preserve's full of stones; Beg pardon, I'm soiling the doileys With afternoon tea-cakes and scones.
Jaxon Clark

As if there is any such thing as his 'lesser works'. He's just about brilliant every time he puts any ink on paper (and publishes it). Nothing so beautiful as a verse by Shakespeare.
I highly recommend the Arden Shakespeare publications - the descriptions explaining his writings in Arden Shakespeare's publication of his sonnets was life changing for me. I started off with Hamlet, Henry V and, Romeo and Juliet. Hell, any of his most well known plays is a great start - you can't go wrong here. Oxford's publication of his poetry includes the sonnets and several other of his glorious poems.
There's also John Milton and John Donne. How can you be such a newbie? Do an extensive search over the Internet, my man.
Also pay some attention on the bible too.
Owen Turner

AMA about degenerate lefty stoners, i've seen (and done) it all.
my takeaway is that hitchens is right in some sense, they are doing it for their own hedonistic pleasure and they will use every trick in the book to try and justify it. but when all is said and done, it is just them fulfilling a pleasure in spite of their health and mental well being. you can't talk them out of it, which is where you are going with this. nobody in the world could talk me out of smoking weed. i had so many excuses and rationalisations it was crazy. eventually i realised it was a waste of time and that it was giving me anxiety and i quit, along with my main stoner buddy. we quit at the same time and neither of us give a shit about weed any more.

Why do beautiful girls go left? I mean, I can understand the less fortunate looking ones, but this was a blue eyed qt blonde.
Probably should have specified breakfast tea or whatever
Not so familiar with Betjeman, I should probably stop being a philistine and read him.

>WE'RE OUT!
Xavier Young
We are the hollow men We are the stuffed men Leaning together Headpiece filled with straw. Alas! Our dried voices, when We whisper together Are quiet and meaningless As wind in dry grass Or rats' feet over broken glass In our dry cellar
Shape without form, shade without colour, Paralysed force, gesture without motion;
Those who have crossed With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom Remember us-if at all-not as lost Violent souls, but only As the hollow men The stuffed men.

As black varieties as opposed to green tea or herbal tea?
I thought black tea was what it was called when you drink tea with no milk desu. That is what people use it to mean normally here. Same with black coffee.

Thanks for new Wojak

I smoked everyday for about 10 years. Haven't smoked in a over a year. Waste of time and money. Subtly destroys your ambition and drive

The funny thing was I went in a marxist and came out a Christian socialist nationalist and later picked up monarchism after I'd fully rejected all forms of marxism as bollocks. I think university is really subversive and dangerous if you don't critically evaluate what you hear. A lot of graduates end up in politically correct echochambers like schools, universities, media or civil service where their ideas aren't really challenged, so they never evaluate whether they've been brainwashed or not. I'm hugely resentful about the time I wasted learning about marxist bullshit, and it is all total bollocks, instead of actually learning about literature. Completely sympathise with nazi book burning.
Noah Long
They're both valid terms, milk definition makes more sense
Liam Hill
It may also be worth noting the impact of british pop culture - all the big movements in popular music between the sixties and the late eighties came from here.
Of course. These wicked poisons prey on the emotionally weak and vulnerable. High Church Anglicanism is the real anti-depressants
Oliver Hughes
I went in as a Marxist and came out a Conservative desu.

>i take are modafinil Ritalin Where do you get it from/how did you get a prescription? Ex heavy smoker for 10 years stopped over a year ago. Unironically Hitchens is right
I hope people are only voting for Blair ironically.

Lads what do you think of a possible UN parliamentary assembly, directly elected by each country? Would it hinder the current direction of globalisation? Apparently most people here support it according to the website
Sorry desu, religion is not my thing. Wish I could lose myself in faith.

guess i just mentioned that to emphasise that it is possible to become somewhat successful despite having been a total degenerate waste of space beforehand.
i have a software business and a property development business that I started recently (landlord and also renovating homes). i work 7 days a week pretty much. it's just bizarre to think i spent 4 years smoking weed and wanking for the most part. i had no ambitions whatsoever except to earn enough money to maintain my habit.

You're cute. But I wouldn't date you, I need to find a good women to impregnate and pass on my awesome genes.

Generally there's nothing wrong with the uni itself, and where it is, it's a result of pressure from external forces.
One of the main problems is there's really no strong conservative movement in universities. There's the alt-right which is growing, but it repels a lot of people who aren't into that stuff. To be honest, it's also rather anti-intellectual.
Cameron Rodriguez

Joined the Labour Party association (I'm a northerner and I was expecting a more sort of patriotic working class thing but it was all LGBT shit etc), was in there a few weeks and began to realise I hate other leftists. Left it and my views began shifting the more contact I had with liberalism and leftism in the university and by the end of it I considered myself a conservative and opposed the agenda that was there.
I'm a conservative, not a Conservative. Also fuck Jefferson.
Not really. I didn't use to browse Cred Forums at that point in time.
Jeremiah Ross
>Would it hinder the current direction of globalisation?
How on earth did you reach that conclusion? It's clearly advocating for the inverse
Kevin Nelson
Immerse yourself in this vital part of your heritage. Carry within you tomes of the great writings of the finest minds in history. Your language skills will shoot through the roof too, as well as improving your mental power. We must strive to be intellectuals. The Victorian Age was the age of self-made men, so there are plenty of examples to look to for inspiration in that period.
There isn't much that is as heartbreaking as watching Enoch Powell and wondering whether Britain will ever produce another...

It's currently decided by unelected officials, no? At least in this case people could vote for people who would rein in the UN
Jonathan Miller
The worst bits of the left in universities are the student associations. The lecturers themselves tended to be pretty good, even though they were almost all lefties.
Asher Brooks
Really, I live in the South West so I don't really know any blacks or pakis. I was under the assumption it was replacing the native accent.
Jason Wilson
>there's really no strong conservative movement in universities
People say this, but the Conservatives are as popular as they ever have been with people who graduated university in the height of the last Labour government.
Every student who didn't do all the save the refugee endangered whale bullshit is probably going to vote Conservative in the future.
David Cox
I'd rather the UN continued to be an ineffectual whinge-chamber. Electing representatives would give it a dangerous sense of legitimacy.
Jordan Young
>fuck Jefferson Jefferson was our guy. Early America was one of the better things our countrymen have ever produced.
Juan Perry
alpha bay (darknet site like silk road) Ritalin is pretty addictive so I wouldn't recommend it, i only take it once a week at most. modafinil is pretty harmless.
I don't have much debt and my only mortgaged property is fixed for 5 years. The other property is cash and I own outright (student house) I could be making much more profit if i overextended myself like most BTL retards but I'm quite wary of debt. They are taking a massive risk most of them. I'm not too scared of a recession since I worry about it a lot, I manage my debt accordingly.
Connor Wright
It's just a lead in to a world government. The less components of a state we give them the better. We made that mistake before with the EU

I plan to lad, I'm still fairly young, only 18 years of age, and I've only started to genuinely care about my Nation and her people in the last 3 or 4 years.

I'm thinking about doing lots of exercise. Might help my depression. But it drains the fuck out of me. I do a lot of push ups and planks but that's about it

weed is only bad if you let it become a routine / a large part of your life. addiction / reliance on a substance has nothing to do with left vs right politics.
i really enjoy a spliff but haven't had one since january. might buy a little bit soon though and that'll do me for a while. in moderation it's totally fine, as is anything else.
Xavier Martin
Lad if I can do it I'll make Enoch look down and smile.
I bloody well promise you that.
And in doing so I'll make up for all the shit my country have done by electing the SNP time and time again.
and although I say I only genuinely cared in the last three or four years I have only started acting on this in the last year and a half.
Gave me a good chuckle here user.

Also if you want to really experience Shakespeare, you need to go see a play. Blows my mind that my apparently bourgeois high achieving school made NO effort to take us to the theatre to see one of the plays we were reading, can't help but think that encourages youth to disregard drama.
Heck, if you can be arsed, come down to London and see something at the restored Globe Theatre, I saw Marlowe's Dr Faustus there and it was fucking amazing.
Logan Perez
the more you exercise the more you grow to enjoy it and the more energy you have just got to keep it up even when you dont want to
I know this doesnt work for everyone but exercising was at least 75% of getting out of my depression. I only used SSRIs when I absolutely had to
Carter Cruz
>people could vote for people who would rein in the UN Bullshit. It would be overrun by the retarded South American, Asian and African left. They wouldn't rein things in they would start pushing their nonsense on the rest of us. You want the UN to be more like Venezuela? Go ahead and let the world elect more of the people who run it.
Nathaniel Phillips
yeah i started going to the gym recently. been skelly my entire life. made me feel a lot better in terms of mood. very draining at first though but if you persevere for 4 - 6 weeks you'll begin to have ridiculous amounts of energy. it really helps with depression.

Start running. Get measured and fitted for some decent running shoes (I used Up and Running) then follow a 5k program. If you have a base level of health and fitness anyway, intensify the program. Or start with a 10k program.
Do: >get running socks >use mapometer to plot your route >invest in a durable watch (casio g shock) >log your runs >enter local 10k races >join a running club >do hills
Don't: >run on uneven surfaces >take water with you if you're running less than 8k >stop

Exercise is boring, have fun instead. I run through a forest near me. I avoid footpaths and just blast my way through the plants and up and down the hills and almost-cliffs. You have to keep focused if you don't want to fall over and rek yourself so it's more fun too. I go down there about 5-6am regularly and just spend about an hour flying through the woods, I don't notice just how tired I am until I'm back home. Would recommend.
Andrew Adams
Plus, because the movements are irregular and often jarring, because you're not just running on a flat surface, your body benefits way more from it.
Christopher Gutierrez
i made sure i was eating loads and made sure it was all good quality stuff. brown rice for carbs instead of pasta or white rice for instance. lots of hearty vegetables like sweet potato and butternut squash, lots of chickpeas. good quality meat (not too often though, doesn't need to be daily), dark green veg like spinach. lots and lots of water too.
it's well worth the effort. i understand depression makes you lose motivation but if you can stick with it you'll see its rewards in a few weeks. lots of energy, lifted mood, peaceful sleep, strong erections and large loads etc.
Jackson Ramirez
I take modafinil every day. Super safe drug. You can get it on the clearnet or alphabay. I prefer AB because they ship from the UK so I get next day delivery.
