I've read through the entire bible, and it doesn't really speak to me. However, I see how happy many Christians are in day to day life, and many of them tell me that it's because of their faith in Christ.
If you're already an atheist you're probably very skeptical of believing in a God and would have question the point of practices too heavily. In this case you should start going to Church and trying to incorporate these practices in your everyday life regardless of strength of faith and it will build up over time if it genuinely makes you happier It may sound like feigning ignorance but a lot of people's struggle comes with their own skepticism which causes them to never try, so I'd say it's best to act as though you have faith and start acting like a Christian even if you question it

I've been going to church (non-denominational protestant) every week for the past two months now. I plan to keep going, so hopefully it works out.
Perhaps it's a small, white town in the mountains thing.

It's sort of hard to force it on onself, it's a pretty fucked up system of beliefs that requires indoctrination. If you are skeptical by nature I think it's going to be very hard to swallow all the bullshit. Try to hang out with good christians obsessed with their religion for a start.
If you believe all christians have happy lives or that being christian will make you happy, you couldn't be more wrong. Also be aware that believing in god =/= being christian, because christianity requires much much more than that.
Hudson Russell
Another thing that it's got going for it is the whole building block of Western civilization thing. Basically I'm just giving it a good try.
Also, I unironically wish to be allowed to fight in the next Crusade.

Reading doesn't necessarily mean understanding. You don't read the Bible, you understand it.
Tyler Nguyen
I understand your point of view but it's sort of stupid. You join christianity because you have a desire for God, not because you are butthurt about BLACKED.com's success. Imagine if people joined scientology because they see rich scientologues?
The values you are looking for are family values from the 60s, they are not really tied to religion. Just look at niggers, which arguably have the strongest faith. In any case good luck pal, can't hurt to have interests in Christianity, especially in 'current year'.

While not every Christian is a happy person I can say that I live with a couple of atheists and they and their buddies are some of the most joyless people I have ever met in my life. They take virtually no wonder or warmth from existence and live in a sad, grey world. Spirituality may not be the answer to your troubles OP, but it's not a bad place to start no matter what the fedora-tippers around here will tell you; really they just want you to be as miserable as they are.

Trump utterly destroyed her.
He talked about real plans and policy and Clinton just talked about Trump.
He had her on the ropes the whole times. All she could do was arrogantly smirk while she was losing. It was embarrassing for her and for the Democratic party.
Almost all the polls except for LOL (((CNN))) agree.

There's no need, really. You can't "force yourself to believe."
Once you've walked away, there's really no going back. If the Bible doesn't speak to you, it doesn't speak to you.
Try and come up with a system of living that makes sense to you.
I go to church with my wife on Sundays. I like the people well enough, and I don't try to red-pill anybody there. But actually believe the blue-pill? No.
I try to live so as not to hurt anybody, and to leave shit better than when I found it.
Don't try to force yourself into something you're not just because you think you "should"
Eli Moore
Christian 'faith' is just one expression of awe in the universe around you.
You can get to the same state of mind by meditating and encouraging mindfulness.
Joshua Brooks
Basically christians are happy because they place their faith in God, and they're already saved which mean they already 'won'. It's like if you were taking an exam while being all-knowing, you know you will succeed, therefore you aren't stressed.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_Zeitoun >Our Lady of Zeitoun, also known simply as El-Zeitoun, Zeitun or rarely Our Lady of Light, was a mass Marian apparition that occurred in the Zeitoun district of Cairo, Egypt, over a period of 2–3 years beginning on April 2, 1968. >The apparitions were also witnessed by President Gamal Abdel Nasser,[5] and captured by newspaper photographers and Egyptian television. Investigations performed by the police could find no explanation for the phenomenon. No device was found within a radius of fifteen miles capable of projecting the image, while the sheer number of photographs from independent sources suggests that no photographic manipulation was involved. Having been unable to produce an alternative explanation for the luminous sightings, the Egyptian government accepted the apparitions as true.[6]

You shouldn't need convincing, I'm an atheist because I'm skeptical of the existence of God. I'm not saying I'm right there just isn't any credible evidence that God is real.

>God will find you one way or another I know language is somehow limited and can't really make up for explaining the religious sentiment. But damn, it's this kind of sentence that make religious people look like dorks. How does God, the omniscient being, have to find you if it can see it all? Of course, there's a subtext behind these words, but why not be straightforward and honest about it?

This perfectly encapsulates my views as well.

Hillary just focused on petty childish attacks.
