It's literally just Marxism with a focus on the end-state instead of on the cause and mechanism by which that end-state will come about.

Marx wrote a lot about capitalism and why it would fail and how it would fail and why it was bad but he wrote comparatively little about what comes after. Anarcho-Syndicalism leaps off from Marx.

It's pretty coherent so long as you understand the Enlightenment rationale behind the New Communist Man and what Engels means when he says that the state "withers away."

More has been written on Communism alone than you will ever be able to read. Look for broad-spectrum work, like Isaiah Berlin's "Two Concepts of Liberty" (you can find it free online, it's relatively short), if you want to get the gist of the ideas behind most ideologies.
