If you're betting on politics in the first place you're a fucking idiot, there's no way to get a clear picture of what is going on. The majority of the people betting on this race consult some shit like Nate Silver's blog or maybe the CNN politics page and they consider themselves informed, what they don't realize is that unlike in sporting statistics the information itself can change the outcome, and hence it will be manipulated by both sides to get the outcome they want. Pic related, how many articles have you seen about the surge in Republican early ballot requests? None of these "smart money" types have seen it because they're treating this like betting on a football game.
