CS Graduate here. Best decision I made. The connections I made through school and my internships got me to where I am today. The education was meaningless but the opportunities and experiences gained were invaluable.

As much as we like to think the world is mechanized and we're just cogs, there is a very human side to things. Soft skills matter. If you're unemployed with a good education you have failed somewhere else.

Like you're an intern? That's a good wage if you are on internship. My best was $31 CAD wooden nickles which is about $25 USD. But that was with an oil and gas firm. Then in 2014, the barrel went from +$100 /brl for WTI and crashed. By September, when they hire full time grads, the company didn't take me on in my final year of school. Thanks OPEC.
