If you speak Dutch it is not at all needed to learn Frysian. All Frysians speak Dutch as they learn it in schools. Once you've learnt Dutch you'll be able to speak normally with Flemish (northern Belgians) and you'll understand most (90% and upwards) of Afrikaans.

I wasn't sure of what you were asking. Many of them don't particularly like those who don't speak Afrikaans and/or are not Afrikaans. They generally hate blacks and are historically not friendly with English speaking South Africans. Afrikaners and English South Africans do interact, and quite a few marry each other, but they generally prefer their own. From what I know, they either don't like Portuguese, Greeks and other Europeans here, or they are indifferent about it i.e. they don't really care. They like Germans though. There are some Italians and even fewer Hungarians and some other Europeans, but the two biggest European communities in South Africa are the Portuguese and Greek communities.

So it would be hard as a fuck to get a qt Charlize Theron if you don't belong to the same group. Makes me sad but at the same time it means they are preserving their people which is good
