The worst experience I've ever had with people in another country was in Italy next to France.

If we take one example when I was in Milano was when I just entered a café and sat down somewhere. The manager of the café came and started screaming at me in Italian. Apparently it was because I sat down were his dad usually sits when he comes by, and I was supposed to know that.
