Oh, I kinda do think that our collective consciousness memes things into reality. Just look how much the science has changed in the last 20-30 years.

The universe used to be static, some limits were supposed to never be broken, quantum-mechanics was basically magic and so on. This just makes me believe that new scientific paradigms and shifts are possible only once enough people start believing and accepting them as 'the truth'.
