The idea doesn't necessarily have to be explicitly true. Just as long as you are able to get the pure concept into their heads, it will usually prove itself true enough.

That is pushing it over the line, and it kills the redpilling effect it would otherwise have

You just have to push it slightly over the current moral and socially acceptable boundaries. Just enough to cause people to take pause and think for a second

If you push it slightly over the top it will backfire and have the opposite effect on normies. This is how you do it
