I got the flu for serious once in my life. I had a 105 fever for 4 days straight, but my parents never took me to the hospital. I am just right now remembering this, but it is literally just number 43 on ways my parents tried to kill me.

I work in aged care and every year the flu season starts the week after the flu shots. The elderly die often from this too. They offer free flu shots to the staff and every year it is the people that get them that get sick. It is outrageous really. My dad almost died because his family doctor thought my dad just got a regular flu and so kept prescribing complete useless flu medication like Tamiflu.
