Christianity thread on Cred Forums?
What?

Reminder that this is a Kekian board and that Jews are not welcome

>parents are Christian Lebanese
>dad is Orthodox, mum is Catholic
>consider myself a Christian, but can't decide between the denominations.

Luke 12:7
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Luke 21:18
But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

Daily reminder not to worry.

Matthew 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Hosea 12:6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually.

There was a "defeat kek" thread about a month ago on Cred Forums.
Didn't achieve its goal, but we got this out of it

Religion is usefull for cultural connection and nationalism. Binds community together with fun stories and festivals and helps teach the societies morals to the next generations. Whether you choose to believe in the supernatural aspects or not does not matter. It is useful. Except christianity bc it leads to multukuli"
also, the ideology of christianity led to atheism and it's problems, because Christianity is a yes/no, you believe or you do not, so science led to people havin g to say NO and then are degenerate atheists with no tie to community. All japanese share shinto ism, you don't have to decide whether you believe it is true or not. That is not the point ofor pagan religions like shinto or druidry. They are culture for a people. The concept of atheism doesn't exist unless you have invasive dogmatic jew propaganda religion like Christianity

t. island chink thinking he understands Kirishitan

>can't decide between the denominations
You don't need a denomination in my opinion. Since God's church is literally a spiritual metaphysical construction made from every believer in Christ.

God is the head of Christ. Christ is the head of the church. The church's bricks are Christians.

Ephesians 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Shadilay, Christcucks.

>Celtic cross

Do you know that the celtic cross is a used to symbolize the union between the Celtic people and Catholicism ?

Genesis 16:8

And he said “Hagar, Sarai’s slave girl, where have you come from and where are you going?” She answered, “I’m running away from Sarai, my mistress.” The angel of the Lord said to her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to ill treatment at her hands.”

Deut. 25:11

When two men are fighting and the wife of one of them intervenes to drag her husband clear of his opponent, if she puts out her hand and catches hold of the man by his privates, you must cut off her hand and show her no mercy.

I'm Protestant but getting lured in by Orthodox Christianity.

Catholic/Protestant churches and their refugee welcome nonsense is getting to me.

Deut. 28:53

Then because of the dire straits to which you will be reduced when your enemy besieges you, you will eat your own children, the flesh of your sons and daughters whom the Lord has given you.

I praised Odin this morning.

Exodus 4:24

And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, “Surely a bloody husband art thou to me”.

Ezekiel 23:19

Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals – as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions.

>genitals as large as those of donkeys
>seminal emission as strong as that of stallions.
Wew such a holy book.

Old Testament you foolish American fedora-wearing idiot.

Hello, christianons. I need help.

My family died a few years ago in an accident. My father was a catholic, devout of Mary. My Mother, however, was a little bit of everything, from christianism, to hinduism, to african-rooted religions. I am afraid she won't be accepted in Heaven, even if she did go to the Church and believed in God, had crosses and everything. She was an excelent woman, loved by many, and the best mother one could ask for. Is there anything i can do to ease my mind? Wuld the Lord forgive her? I just want them all to be in peace. If i pray for her forgiveness, would He listen?

>african-rooted religions
She's going to hell.

Matthew 5:17

Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn't the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament.

Serious question.
How could we notice, as humans, if God suddenly stopped guiding the world?
What if He acted like He doesn't exist anymore and just sort of backed off?
How could we tell?

I'm sorry guys but Christianity has lost its foothold on Cred Forums.

I used to meme being a Christian before and was active in the Christianity threads but lets face it. Christianity on Cred Forums has died, Christianity in the west has died.

It's over guys, lets move on.

It was weird. He had idols of many saints, beings, and even Jesus, all together. And everything she ever asked for was protection and prosperity.

>submit to ill treatment
Lie.

>show her no mercy
Lie.

What's your problem with this scripture? God is not at fault.

Same here. Isn't God supposed to kill His wicked enemies?

Why post this? Do you know what He is talking about?

>He hasn't the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament
Incorrect.

0/10 bait.

A lot of people do that. My mother is Catholic and she has had a Buddha statue "for luck" since forever.

I was just joking btw. I don't know whether heaven and hell exist or not or where she's going. I kind of believe they don't.

I'd go full Dante from Dante's Inferno to rescue her if i could, and if she was there, which i believe she wouldn't be if there's a Hell, since not only she was a good person, she was a Christian. Even with ther dubious religious practices. You should understand, since you're brazillian, regarding all the mumbo jumbo people practice around here.

Bumpin nice thread

You should go talk to the priest in the church she attended instead of us shitposters on here. If she was a Catholic she will be judged by Catholic rules.

This thread has my bump.

Have a bump.

hey /chg/,

I have come to admire the Christianity over the past couple of months. I always find myself defending it to my friends or just on the internet but I myself am not Christian. I am constantly debating with myself whether or not I should go to Church but there are things that are constantly holding me back. One of the biggest problems for me is the refugee crisis (especially living in Canada). I am a very Conservative and nationalistic person, and I don't want to attend Church one day and have "Refugees Welcome!" Propaganda shoved down my throat. To get to the point, I hardly know anything about all the denominations of Christianity, and I am looking for guidance for finding the right Church for me, my (mostly) Anglo blood tells me Anglican but I'm not sure. I guess I am looking for any statistics or even anecdotes to help push me over the edge.

Thanks.

>Is there anything i can do to ease my mind?
Read this passage

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9

They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."
Acts 16:31

"Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.
Matthew 10:32

>Wuld the Lord forgive her?

If she is baptized and believed in Christ as her Savior, she is saved, if she did good in her life she will have merit in Heaven.

>I just want them all to be in peace. If i pray for her forgiveness, would He listen?

She is already saved, but if it can make you more at ease, you can pray for Her.

>They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

thats suggesting to the people of his household they can be saved to if they want to believe as well

not that your belief applies to your family and saves them

Good then I'll just let my mother believe for me and chill. Nice to know I'm saved.

>One of the biggest problems for me is the refugee crisis

Deuteronomy 23:7
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

Exodus 12:19
Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land

Exodus 22:21
Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 23:9
Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 23:12
Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

Leviticus 17:12
Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.

Acts 17:26
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Basically, we know it sucks, but don't oppress them. Lots of them will get baptized.

>I always find myself defending it to my friends
Do you want to stand up for the truth?

Read the gospel.

biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John 1&version=KJV

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The reason you're posting in a Christian thread in Shillary Central is probably because you are looking for the truth and haven't found it yet.

no thats not what i said re-read my post

During antiquity what believed the Father(chief of the family) was what the whole family had to believe , thus if the chief of family became christian the whole family converted.

Matthew 10:35-36
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Yep it's true, some people just don't want to accept Lord Jesus.

Already happening , japmoot needed to budget , porn is the most traffic it will go

But hey, at least we have good morals, amirite christfags?

...

You should not worry about other people , if people have been good in their life they will get to heaven , if they where not good in their life we dont want them in heaven.

Something about who ever is without sin cast the first stone

the ONLY way to Heaven!

>If she is baptized

Baptised by who that priest who also fucked kids ? who gave authority , not the 12 apostles and not god, baptism is something what happend 2000 years ago and you received the holy spirit from it and you could do magic tricks , today there would be no one like the 12 apostles to perform baptism

look man everybody has a change it does not matter if you belief , if you belief thats great you will reign with jesus a 1000 years . If not then you will be judged by your works in the last judgement

he Final Judgment

>11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Ah so you think evil people go to heaven

no its not of work dude

you get a worse punishment in hell than other if you had very bad works

and you get rewarded in heaven if you had good works if youre saved

works has nothing to do with going to heaven

and thinking that way is a pathway to going to hell because youre not fully trusting in Jesus to save you from your sins

Extremely newfag. Until recently with the election almost everyone here was christian.

>Ah so you think evil people go to heaven

yes as long as they believe in Jesus

you can be hitler

but its not likely someone like that would care to be a christian

> 5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The second resurrection the resurection of the damned and its about works , not the first resurrection were the dead in christ get risen , that one is indeed about faith

ya thats where their final destiny for eternity is layed out

and its going to be proven that they didnt believe in Christ so they still have all their sins upon themselves

just because he judges them in a formal means doesnt mean they arent going to hell

>and thinking that way is a pathway to going to hell because youre not fully trusting in Jesus to save you from your sins

Its always funny that people from other denomination warn you with hell.

I think its more save to go with; preventing all kinds of sin until even zero sins , then just fuck someones wife and pray jesus for forgivenes . And next time you just do it again, because you are saved forever afterall

>meme history

Just don't go to an antiochian orthodox church, they have feeling toward Arabs because it's a mostly Arab church. Festival to help fund our church but rhey had "help refugee" shit up. It's disheartening that I may leave that church. I was gonna get Catatied "accepted as orthodox" this month. May try the Russian orthos down my street.

Juat today, I had the thought, that maybe nothing exists, that nothing out there exists.

Like, when you're born, nothing at all before you exists, nothing is there, furthermore, everything just slowly unravels itself, slowly unravels itself as you learn and as you wonder about the world and spirituality.

So nothing really out there exists, UNTIL you think about it, there suddenly seems to appear an explanation, like there was never one in the first place.

So mow I'm thinking I could be developing a nihilist perspective, which I always counted out because I thought it was absurd to believe such a concept, but yet here I am.

What do you think?

Christians who have trusted in Jesus will usually have no desire to rape someones wife

and if they do they will be chastised on this earth or will go to prison or die or something bad will happen to them

Hebrews 12:6
For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.

but he can never do anything to not go to heaven anymore once hes born again

now a catholic who goes around sinning and asks for forgiveness is still going to hell because they never trusted in Jesus .... they trusted in the pope and mary and their works to save them

This image is so wrong it hurts

>actually believes there was ever an undivided church after the death of jesus
There were divisions from the word go

>Christians who have trusted in Jesus will usually have no desire to rape someones wife

looks like that they were not really saved forever then huh?

So do you guys actually believe the Adam and Eve story? Or the Earth only being 6000 years old?

Aren't they sort of necessary for the bible and Jesus to work as it did?

i never said there arent people who have done it but look theyre in prison

theyre being punished on this earth for their sin

theyre still going to heaven if theyre saved

you can go on a mass murder genocide spree and still be saved

didnt say there wasnt people who still do it and sin even though theyre saved

ur too focused on degeneracy and morals and a lot of people are only attracted to christianity for that reason... but that doesnt matter to god. theres a lot of athiests who are "good people" and give millions to charity

god doesnt look at that

>So do you guys actually believe the Adam and Eve story?

yes the ending of the bible is the reverse of adam and eve.

the earth 6000 years old , try and find that meme in the bible

>actually believes
this isn't a question of belief, it's a question of historical fact, and the facts in the image i posted are accurate. which of them do you dispute?

I've been considering going Ortho for a while now but there are hardly any Ortho communities where I live. What do?

I mean your in Spain bro, being Mexican l, Spanish, or Italian is almost all catholic man. Just keep going to church and try to steer clear of liberal garbage you see.

You know i will just play it safe to not belief the once saved always saved meme.

Matthew 7:23
>22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.’ 2

>21Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 2

the branch of orthodoxy with the most foothold in spain seems to be the romanian orthodox church. find others like yourself in your area and start a congregation. if you get enough people interested, you can apply to the romanian holy synod to send you a priest

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
-Matthew 18:20

>mfw priest at mass today was talking about how death penalty is wrong

I'm not the most fluent in the church's doctrine, but what the fuck is wrong with the death penalty. That shit has been used for thousands of years by fellow christians.

Also, I'm feeling pretty blackpilled. I was looking through this week's bulletin, and the parish's main church is changing their mass schedule... one english mass and two spanish masses. 2/3 masses in the main fucking church are now in spanish. Only a single mass for the english-speaking goyim

Keep in mind that I live in Delaware, which is only like ~5% hispanic. It's not like I'm in Texas or Arizona or anything.

I can't tell you how fucking pissed off I was sitting through mass contemplating this. And it's no wonder the catholic church and our cuck pope are so in favor of open borders. They just want to flood America with mestizo trash. And they claim they're doing it for "social justice" but it's really just because they want warm bodies to fill the pews. Meanwhile all the white catholics are forced to flee.

For generations, this has been a place where local micks, polaks, and wops have gone to church. And now it's just getting flooded with beaners. How disgusting.

You simply ignore the existence of other denominations in the very early church, and your history is based around the historical tradition of the very church you are shilling for. Should not surprise anyone to know that according to the orthos they are the original church and as the original church their history is correct and their correct history shows they are the original church and so on

Shameful tbqh

Though i suppose these kinds of circular justifications are commonplace among christians

you notice how the translation you used deliberately removed the word "works"?

Matthew 7:22 KJV
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

its because the demons change the modern bibles and want you to believe in works salvation... so you cant see that it actually says that these people thought that since they were performing good works it would get them to heaven....

the other things like calling your christian brother a fool we can be saved from as well

The priests of the orthodox church are scumbags that are gonna robe you from your money.

>I mean your in Spain bro, being Mexican l, Spanish, or Italian is almost all catholic man. Just keep going to church and try to steer clear of liberal garbage you see.

It's too late, man. I don't know what it's like on your end, but over here the Catholic church has become the liberals.

Thanks. That won't be easy right now considering I'm in this podunk town right now, but if I move back to Madrid in the coming months I'll check out the Russian orthodox community there.

the priest at the church i go to gave me almost a hundred dollars worth (checked prices on amazon) of free study books when i told him i wanted to convert but couldn't afford the books cause poorfag, so yeah... what you said has not been my experience

based snsdguy

Well it's based on the genealogy from adam down to Christ plus the 2000 years after.

I really like the Adam and Eve story, but should it be taken literally? It's got a lot of logical leaps to do so.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm in Los Angeles and it's pretty much the same with the catholics. The don't ask don't tell policy. Fuck the current pope and hope you guys get a hard as when this one croaks.

find an ifb church

Thank you, user. I would also like to ask you; How can -i- feel the Lord in my heart? I think there's still doubt within me. Even if i pray, and follow his values, as i've stated in this thread.

When romanians are performing a wedding or a baptism at church, the priests are usually asking for a high price for performing these religous services.

They are also asking a lot of money even at a funeral, and they are robbery poor old people that can barely pay for the service.

That's one of the main reasons why the orthodox church is heavily criticize in Romania.

i have no idea i normaly use kjv

>21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Berean Study Bible
21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness

>the other things like calling your christian brother a fool we can be saved from as well

so you are a christian because it states brother and then you need to be saved again? whoops there goes saved forever

there aren't any romanian ortho churches in my area so i don't know much about them. i go to a greek orthodox church. but funerals are always expensive. that's why people buy life insurance. and weddings? c'mon bro. do you expect them to do all that for free? most churches survive on patronage and barely keep the lights on, no matter what denomination it is. you know that

What is not logical?

>inb4 talking snake possesed by satan

no offense but i get so tired of seeing stuff like this in the christian generals on here

"do i have to take noah's ark literally? do i have to take adam and eve literally?"

the answer is NO and anybody who says different is a fundamentalist autist

the adam and eve story is a metaphor about the fallen state of humanity. you do have to believe that humanity is in a fallen state - that belief is central to the faith - but you don't have to believe that a talking snake gave an apple to two naked people. it's a metaphor...

Well, humanity coming from just 2 people, then the genealogy down to Christ.

Also why god put the tree there, why he bothered with the whole thing if he's omnipotent and could see the possible outcome of doing so, how the serpent got into the garden, why god punished adam and eve's blood line only to destroy a large chunk of it in the flood instead of just doing a redo right then and there.

no once youre saved youre saved

Jesus covers all your sins no matter how bad

Ephesians 1:13-14
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Revelation mentions the serpent (satan) though, so something happened to cause humanities fall, if it was disobedience then what was it we did if not the eating of the tree of knowledge?

>most churches survive on patronage and barely keep the lights on, no matter what denomination it is. you know that
Except the orthodox church in Romania, which is a tax exempt organization and is also financed by the government, the wages of priests are also financed by the government.

Another reason why this church is criticize is because they are building a big cathedral in Bucharest, in the 21st century, using money from public taxes. Not all inhabitants of Romania are orthodox, and there are many ethnic romanians that are not orthodox. Many non orthodox people complain about the fact that they are paying taxes to the goverment, and the fucking government use these money to finance all the necessities of the orthodox church.

You know a religion is bullshit when even its followers disregard more than half of it.

So what if a bully bullies another person, and that person kills himself as a result of the bullying, does the bully still go to heaven even if he believes in Jesus?

So these christians already needed to have faith or they could not drive out demons or do miracles , if they already had faith they are not saved forever
Matthew 17
>19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Praise Lord Jesus Christ. Deliver us from evil.

I do not agree that it is a metaphor, user. The story of Adam and Eve is perfectly true insofar as it is symbolic, and I do not mean "symbolic" in the modern nominalist sense (things to which we can more or less conveniently attribute meaning) but insofar as the symbol has a NECESSARY ONTOLOGICAL LINK to the divine reality to which it is related but which cannot be grasped other than through the Intellect, that is the immanent Logos within us.

The fact that most people don't "get" these symbols nowadays as their sensitivity to them has been dulled does not mean that ancient man was not a perfectly intelligent being who could grasp the truth of stories such as that of Adam and Eve perfectly clearly without wondering about "why" or "how", because we carry the story of Paraidse and the Fall in our souls and even in our flesh.

Why do you need to worship false man-made idols for "community ties"? I'd rather be an outcast than a fucking retard. There are so many other ways to establish ties, this is the dumbest argument for paganism I've heard yet.

>evolution teaches you we came from a rock , i would trust god and go with adam and eve.

Oh boy, you should feel so silly for thinking the opposition actually thinks humanity evolved from a rock.

>And maybe the plan was the apple from the start and we had to suffer through hell to realise what paradise really is

You believe in a sadistic shit of a God.

What advice would you give to someone who is losing their faith in Christ? A Roman Catholic to be specific.

I would first ask why they are losing their faith.

Nope i belief that a good god would let me suffer for 85 years on earth and then when i die i will be with god forever , i dont know how god could make a better deal

Stop being a catholic

>Nope i belief that a good god would let me suffer for 85 years on earth and then when i die i will be with god forever
> i dont know how god could make a better deal

You're not listening to yourself. You got ~85 years to suffer and even decide your eternity. Seems like a retarded idea.
There is no God.

...

they dont go to church anymore, dont feel like praying anymore, etc. there are just so many things in the world distracting them from Christ like technology, work, the gym, friends, etc. nothing pushes them to want to be a devout Catholic

Fellow Roman Catholic here. What helped me was (re)discovering the Church Fathers. Try reading Origen of Alexandria's On First Principles. Religion has been massively "dumbed down" nowadays and this approach doesn't work for all mentalities.

>Nope i belief that a good god would let me suffer for 85 years on earth

Are you silly enough to believe our life is a test too?

Heading to mass in 1/2 hour. What's everyone else doing today?

God bless you, Nederlander.

reminder to report any that's on Cred Forums since it's not allowed here despite being NSFW

>Are you silly enough to believe our life is a test too?

Yes offcourse everything is a test

Roman Catholicism, the original church founded by Christ himself.

youtube.com/watch?v=h56gxgwaVHw

Agreed, denominations tend to take away from the message that actually matters. That said, I really hate ones that have set up hierarchies, and how the Catholics have their own additional books. That said, I don't think people of other denominations are any less christian so long as their beliefs line up with the word, but some think denomination determines salvation.

Yeah totally mane

Ah you are using shit version

>additional
>implying Luther didn't cut out the Deuterocanon in a display of kikery

I'm thinking of applying to the seminary. Any advice for me, lads?

this
if you have to pick avoid Jehovah's witnesses and Mormons. Catholicism should be avoided too. Protestants and Orthodox Chrisitians are bro-tier.

I think the numbers say enough themselves - I don't need to compare them to anything.

...

You hate catholics the most then ?

I don't hate anyone.
I think Catholicism - which is an ideology, not a person - is cancer.

>How can -i- feel the Lord in my heart?

It's not something you acquire sudenly, it's more like something you acquire bit by bit while praying to him and worshiping him.

You're showing statistics on American Catholics, which tend to be (based on my opinion as a European that's comes from a conservative Catholic country) the least educated on Church teachings and catechism.

Most, if not all, of that 70% probably doesn't even practice the faith by attending church on a regular basis (something which correlates with statistics, I think only 25%+ of US Catholics attend church weekly).

I have read it, I'm just struggling with some of the finer details at the moment.

I have no issues with the gospels but genesis and revelation and what the after life is by christian doctrine are still making my head spin.

An example is the importance on Earth in the end times and coming kingdom of heaven, does that mean humanity will never leave this planet in its existence?

If a space station were made, or a habitat on Mars what happens to those people during the final hour?

Catholics are the most cucked denomination of actual Christian

>I think Catholicism - which is an ideology, not a person - is cancer.
Mind expanding on this?

And I no doubt note some good that comes from community and work. My issue and my recommendation to them is noting that through the grace received at the sacraments and through prayer we find peace and we find a lasting joy. If the person(s) live in vice or struggle with sorrow in their life I'd recommend a return to the spiritual life (through prayer, through the mass, and the like. What you recommend in full depends on the person) and would remind them that it's a foolish endeavor to think you be at peace with yourself while still without virtue throughout our lives.

Perhaps the disenchantment with the church and with prayer comes from a poor understanding of it? That is an important issue but one that need be tackled with more detail on their specific situation

Hope I could help.

I'm off today so I'll be posting for a bit and then getting work done on the Catholic-Orthodox Q/A I'm doing.

Catholicism itself is cancer.
Me posting those charts is mostly to shock you into maybe thinking there might be something wrong with what you hold to.

Let me give you a logical reason why Catholicism is cancer.

>apostolic succession is valid because tradition establishes it is
>tradition is valid because church authorities affirm it to be
>church authorities are valid because of apostolic succession

>People in uniffiliated say religion is very important in one's life
What the fuck.

Not the opinion of all denominations, but baptism itself is not what leads to salvation. It's merely a public profession. Very similar to what a wedding ring is to marriage. Just because you have a wedding ring doesn't make you married, and just because you're married doesn't mean you have a wedding ring. But you should be able to publicly state your faith if it's what you in fact know.

>It's merely a public profession
Try telling that to Catholics. Catholicism is an elaborate, cancerous joke.

This is silly, Netherlands. We are not tested by God, we are tested by our desires.

It likely surrounds them.

Go to a church, attend a service, and study, study hard, study as if you were in "college" and as if you were the valedictorian.

You will become passionate about thw bible.

There's a lot of people, women especially, who like to say things like "spirituality is very important to me", but don't actually know what they even believe in.

>I have no issues with the gospels but genesis and revelation and what the after life is by christian doctrine are still making my head spin.

revelations is what makes everyone's head spin , when i was a baby christian i believed it was not supose to be in the bible , then i read about that revelation already could have happend and i started to belief in Preterism. after longer study i finaly found out the true purpose and everything in revelations does still have to happen mostly.

what heaven and hell is,is not clear. hell is either burning forever or its just eternal destruction

Gotta know ASAP, how do I have a relationship with God? I don't deal with churches, they're way too toxic. But I really would like to improve my relationship with God, how do I go about doing this?

Revelations is entirely irrelevant to how a Christian is to conduct oneself.
It's the least important book in the Bible bar none.

Newfag to Christianity here, used to be agnostic atheist and I studied enough philosophy and explored religious ideas (including reading the New Testmanent, natch) until I took the "leap of faith" as Kierkegaard put it. Now, as part of the Christian life I want to go to church in order to get baptized and from there participate in communal worship and partake of the bread & wine that is body & blood. I live in a city so there's lot's of churches around. What churches are there that carry out these sacraments, that are at least somewhat "high church" in how they worship, and don't go full-autismo with "only our denomination are real Christians"?

lol, tell me about it. I have several catholic friends. They act no different. It's just a word they use to describe themselves because their parents go to church a couple times a month. Good people, but ignorant about religious stuff to an extreme.

>this shit
>again

You frame the proof in a poor way. Your claim is pretty much akin to the Protestant James White's comment:

>"if Rome determines the extent of both Scripture and ‘tradition,’ and the meaning of both Scripture and ‘tradition,’ how can she logically be subservient to two things that she in fact defines and interprets?”"

And the answer to this is the historical claim, as I've told you many times before.

Those things don't shock me. Like I said above, the people supporting those abominations are nonpracticing cultural Catholics. They use their religion like a label in discussions or on polls. They're baptized, yes, but not much beyond that. They don't represent the actual churchgoers.

Apostolic succession is the line of bishops stretching all the way to the original apostles. In 2 Tim. 2:2, Paul told Timothy: "What you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

Which traditions are you specifically referring to? The Church holds traditions dear because it is not here to change them. Doctrine is kept the sacred and protected by our clergy. The Church is like a mailman, only delivering the message to the people.

Church bishops are director successors of the apostles, to which the earthly church was entrusted.

pray the rosary

You loop back to relying on the same fundamental premises.
You can demonstrate it for everyone else again right now if you'd like.

Q: How do we know that apostolic succession is valid?

Who does a atheist debate if there was no religion to debate,

Please help /chg/

Read his word mostly, and pray. But the church is also essential. Look around for somewhere that isn't cancer. I've had good luck with some non-denominational ones.

thank you for your time and advice it is appreciated highly

Was Jesus white?

Now, I've tried reading the bible, but it doesn't make much sense to me and I get bored with it very easily. How to I keep from getting bored with it?

whats a non-denominational church like?

Pray. Whether it's specific prayers, or just take some time out of your day and pray in some peace and quiet.

Churches have great communities which support you, I'd definitely recommend trying it. Maybe you just had a bad experience with one?

I believe it happens more often amongst Catholics for a reason. The responsibility for a Catholic's faith is, largely, taken out of their hands. They have the sacraments administered by others to them. They must be baptized by others. They are to follow the dictates of others who are not God.

It's little wonder Catholics are often so watered-down in their faith - far more than Protestants - when the responsibility for their faith in so many aspects appears to rest in other people's hands and is outside their control.

>This is silly, Netherlands. We are not tested by God, we are tested by our desires.

Is that not the same , god sets the apple for adam and eve , god sets desires and lessons among our path

Because it's the one and only way things can work. Otherwise you have some retards fanfic as revealed truth, instead of the teachings being brought forwards through the Church.

Catholics, Anglicans, and Lutherans have high church settings but no exclusively. Orthodox has exclusively high church settings but are overall rarer in the states.

None of them state their denominations are the "real Christians" but all of them, and justly so, defend them to the correct faith. I would only recommend the Apostolic options from what I've listed.

Through living the a life of virtue. I would recommend the writings of the saints to aid you with this. In fact, I have in front of me now the book "The Introduction to the Devout Life" by St. Francis de Sales and that would be right up your alley.

Regardless, I must press the church for you. You deny yourself the grace administered at the sacraments and the potential for guidance.

>partake of the bread & wine that is body & blood.
I don't think any protestants except for some anglicans believe in transubstantiation

>Q: How do we know that apostolic succession is valid?

The historical claim. Basically unanimous support for apostolic succession by all Christians for 1000+ years.

Did Jesus ever refer to our Father as Yahweh, Jehovah, YHWY etc?

Well fellow Christfags, I've a favor to ask. My dog died yesterday. I know dogs have no souls, but do me a favor and say a prayer for him, would you?
Thanks.

How do I pray, and does god actually talk to you or do you just thank him and ask questions and stuff?

Yes the guide ;how to get in to heaven is the gospels. But revelations does fullfill the promise . And shows the return to paradise on earth where we are restored to our heavenly body

>Because it's the one and only way things can work
It's absolutely not.
The Bible is right there. You can read it. It contains God's Words and the Gospels of Jesus Christ.

The historical claim
Q: How do you know its historicity?

"Unanimous support" isn't a logical validator of the truthfulness of a claim. It doesn't matter how many or how few people believe or don't believe something - that something's truth value is completely independent of opinion.

i think the idea is that you kiss gods ass and beg for things and hope he listens. at least thats what i did when i was forced the pray in cucktholic school.

I'll be sure to check it out. Thank you.

sounds to me like you've got a government problem, not a church problem

One with faith need not desire what God has in front of them and so it's improper to think God "sets desires among our path".

What's written in Revelations doesn't change anything for a Christian. If you have another candidate for "least important book in the Bible", I wouldn't mind talking about it in the least.

Those words are just titles in a certain language. Yahweh and Jehovah are modern, latinised words created as theories of how the word YHWY was pronounced, so even if you see them in the Bible, they are just there for clarity. I don't think the word YHWY is used, since he spoke in arameic and the gospels are in greek. The meaning is that of I AM

Honestly, I do too. I've enjoyed reading some christian commentaries. Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis was one I like, and I think he touched on the importance of church, but I cannot recall.

mmm, not really sure what to say. Places I've attended tend to have some mix of contemporary christian music along with hymns. Pastor prepares his sermon on some topic or section of the bible. Generally quite informative. I haven't attended much from other churches, but they seem to just be reading from some book and go through what is basically a ritual-like ceremony for the service. I have gotten far less out of them.

Biggest reason I like them is that the pastors are able to teach what they want from the bible instead of it being dictated from people above them (like the pope). I actually come from a Southern Baptist church, which acts very much the same, but there's some very loose things on what is taught, but it boils down to "teach from the word of god, not what you personally think"

What do you guys think of Seventh Day Adventists?

>"Unanimous support" isn't a logical validator of the truthfulness of a claim. It doesn't matter how many or how few people believe or don't believe something - that something's truth value is completely independent of opinion.

Unanimous support for a claim through mountains of evidence is the best arguments for why something is true of a historical group's beliefs and as the church now views itself as an extension of the early church it is accurate to lean on the early church to provide the claim.

God's Will be done m8.

I'm so, so sorry man. My dog died a year back from cancer and it was a hard time. I will pray for him and pray for you.

>no souls

More accurately, the view would be "no human soul". No need to fret there.

>Unanimous support for a claim through mountains of evidence is the best arguments for why something is true
No, something being *NECESSARILY* true is the best argument for why something is true.
Like Creation - Creation is necessarily true - something exists, therefore something came to be iff things which exist must have come to be.

So that's absolutely wrong. It's also a fallacy to rely on such as an indicator of truth - as you know ^_^
nizkor.org/features/fallacies/appeal-to-tradition.html

>The Bandwagon Fallacy (also, Argument from Common Sense, Argumentum ad Populum): The fallacy of arguing that because "everyone" supposedly thinks or does something, it must be right. E.g., "Everyone knows that undocumented aliens ought to be kicked out!" Sometimes also includes Lying with Statistics, e.g. “Surveys show that over 75% of Americans believe Senator Snith is not telling the truth. For anyone with half a brain, that conclusively proves he’s a dirty liar!”

You are Lebanese and your father is Orthodox, obviously you should be Orthodox.

Least important there is none , they are all as much as important , if there was something not clear in one book you could find more information in a other book

I had a dream once about driving a demon out of Pope Francis. What should I do?

mfw girlfriend says ex boyfriend is spiritual cause he's into native american shamanism, but doesn't think I'm spiritual because I'm trying my best to be a devout Christian and be the person God wants me to be.

>Implying Arab Orthodox aren't ultra based

I'm Antiochian Orthodox and the Arabs at my parish including the priest go on anti-Muslim and anti-Israel rants every Sunday at coffee hour.

Do Orthodoxs use greek for all liturgical matters? I mean, catholics used latin but now they use their language, do orthodoxs use ancient greek only?

So the book of Ezra is equally important to the book of Matthew in your mind.

Incorrect ideology. Greatly so.

>No, something being *NECESSARILY* true is the best argument for why something is true.

Don't cut out things from my sentence to fit your narrative. I said it's the best argument for historicity. You can't argue accidental historic claims from necessity.

You read like you're saying:
>we can't assert what all Christians believed to assert what Christianity is from a historical perspective

How else are you going to hold what Christianity is besides what Christians held as Christianity when Christianity itself IS the name for the ideology amongst that group asserted by its historic/theological claim? How else will you get that without examining them? You could examine the text themselves but texts can be examined in all manners of ways. You're literally denying the Historical Critical Method here, m8.

Rest the first part of this post.

How did the goat become a symbol of Satan?

I'll add the whole thing senpai~

>Unanimous support for a claim through mountains of evidence is the best arguments for why something is true of a historical group's beliefs and as the church now views itself as an extension of the early church it is accurate to lean on the early church to provide the claim

No, something being *NECESSARILY* true is the best argument for why something is true.

There ya go senpai!

I'm sure there's more to his claim than that but it's bullshit either way.

Is she christian?

Nah, she's had a hard life and she doesn't believe in god because he didn't swoop in and save her from stuff.Right?

I think it's cuz people think that being spiritual is some new-age-y bullshit with "being one with _____" and good feels. It's why I'm extremely hesitant to answer questions like "Do you consider yourself a spiritual person?"

>No, something being *NECESSARILY* true is the best argument for why something is true.

You can't argue an accidental historical claim is necessarily true by virtue of what it is so historical evidence is what is needed for a historical claim. Unanimous support with amounts of evidence is the best argument one can get of a historical claim.

I'm sorry but you're wrong, man.

explain the quote in the photo

New testament, not old testament thats the book of the jews, it has some prophecy in danielle ,genesis is important , i have not even read the old testament properly

I feel you

Does anybody else hate this whole "Fallacy" thing as much as I do? Somehow this got started about five years ago, when all of a sudden all the fucking fallacy lists started appearing. All they are is common fucking sense; anybody who knows how to reason would understand they are fallacies, so why all the effort to label and classify every single one? And half the time they are not even fallacies, they are arguments.

I fucking hate this fallacy bullshit. No shit a common belief is not proof of something. A fucking third grader could tell you that. It's fucking grammatical.

Tell her she was just a LARPer. Ask her how much time her ex boyfriend studied theology or apologetics.

Tell me what an "accidental" historical claim is.

If the "best" thing you have is a straight up fallacy, then you can't go anywhere. You having some epistemological preference for an investigative methodology toward any kind of past claim doesn't make that methodology *ANY* more corresponding to actual truth. It just means you *like* it more.

>How do you know its historicity?

Since therefore I have, in the persons before mentioned, beheld the whole multitude of you in faith and love, I exhort you to study to do all things with a divine harmony, while your bishop presides in the place of God, and your presbyters in the place of the assembly of the apostles, along with your deacons, who are most dear to me, and are entrusted with the ministry of Jesus Christ, who was with the Father before the beginning of time, and in the end was revealed. - St. Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to the Magnesians

Because jesus is the lamb , satan is always the opposite

That actually makes sense, thanks.

I fixed these cringy pics for you pham

1/2

Q: How do you know the words of [bishops/presbyters/deacons] are valid?

We're almost there.

We do it mostly in the language of the country, so here in the US its mostly in English, in Greece its in Greek, but if you go to a Greek Orthodox parish in the US it will be mostly in English with some Greek. At my Antiochian parish it's mostly English with a little Greek and Arabic.

So how does John justify as true his "Revelations"?

Were they just dreams? Or how did he acquire these ideas?

Vatican II was a terrible mistake.

So Revelations is as important to you as the book of Matthew then...?

So, what purpose do angels serve? Also, are there good and bad ones?

Because the Church is guided by the Holy Spirit

2/2

Q: Why do you believe "the Church" is guided by the Holy Spirit?

We couldn't

Doing god's work Praceteom. Just letting you know that there are probably plenty of agnostic lurkers out there who are on the fence, but we need more user's like you in Christian threads to combat the heresey that Catholicism is.

To anybody on the fence in this thread, The big picture is, that Catholicism is a wishy-washy relativist theology, You either take the bible literally or you dont. There's no middle ground. You dont get to pick and choose what god's word is or isn't.

Catholisicm

Fallacy is something what debaters uses , its even a sticky image on Cred Forums

What's all this trying to reflect?

I take a leap of faith similar to what you do to convince yourself that math/science/logic has any inherent meaning behind it when both types of conceptions are founded in human emotion bias

honestly, I would agree with you. _kicks self_

That said, it's a nice way classify the mistakes humans generally make, and gives a nice point of reference.

Fuck off, retard. Take it to /x/
Vocal shitposters do not a majority make.

>grow up Jehovahs Witness my whole life
>never felt a sense if "belonging"
>came within weeks of gettng baptized
>Stop going to Kingdom Hall
After I enter college

Im trying to find a sect that fits me better. I jjust cant seem to get this JW shit outta my head sometimes

Great! I don't begrudge any person that. When you do that though, you can't hold that what you're committing yourself is incontrovertibly true. And that defies Catholicism, since Catholicism requires you to adhere to Catholic dogma. And dogma is held as incontrovertibly true.

They fight off demons to protect your soul.

t.Pentecostal Original Calvinist Protestant of the Incorruptible Brothers of Quaker Luther and the Holy Schism

Pretty based

en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/accidental

>relating to or denoting properties which are not essential to a thing's nature.

>Incidental

Any common event not related to the very basics of nature is an accidental event.

>If the "best" thing you have is a straight up fallacy, then you can't go anywhere.

And I don't, you only deny the historical critical method and think it fallacious and then assert I have some bias randomly.

> are there good and bad ones
The bad ones are demons aka fallen angels. This includes the devil himself.

No visions are not dreams ,

>1And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. 4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 5While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them:

Alright, do you know of any books where I could read more about them?

Judaism general when?
Islam general when?
Hinduism general when?
This board is too biased towards christianity, we need more diversity of thought

It is self-evident to me, we can feel the Holy Spirit in the Church and in the Eucharist, we can see it grace the relics of the saints, we see it bring the Church body closer together during Pascha, we can read about 2,000 years of tradition of people experiencing the same thing; and endless heresies being defeated throughout the ages.

Because the Church was created by Christ as the tool of tradition and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. As I said before, that's the only way things can be. God reveals Truth and the4 Church brings it forwards in time, preserving it in an infallible way

What denomination? Good luck

>This board is too biased towards christianity, we need more diversity of thought

Can anyone recommend a good book about the crusades?

It can be, but I see it over-used and used incorrectly. Not that you did, but I was just complaining.

>feel like God is always watching
>still masturbate

wew lad. A man has needs

That for sure but you need both books to understand the second comming and the end times ,very important for this generation , you dont want to end up with a mark on your head or forehead

im my own god

I don't understand why god cares if you beat your dick or not.

>You simply ignore the existence of other denominations in the very early church
You mean Gnostics and Judaizers? Groups condemned by the Apostles?

The transmission of a rational God and its influence in Europe on the understanding of nature is one of the most influential things I've learned in my personal study of anthropology. I first read it from The Grand Titration. I was absolutely surprised to see Molymeme mention it.

r/atheism pleas go

I'm looking to bring God back in my life, but it has been a very long time. I'm agnostic.

What do I do? I haven't tried praying it doesn't really feel right, I'm looking for a sign I guess

Kind of what I expected but wanted to be sure - so in response to
>You can't argue an accidental historical claim is necessarily true by virtue of what it is so historical evidence is what is needed for a historical claim
you lack anything that necessarily corresponds to truth in any historical claim then. Likewise, whatever "evidence" you may produce toward such a claim doesn't even necessarily correlate to increasing the likelihood that something is or isn't true, since any purported observational claims (which is all historical claims) don't necessarily correspond with truth, since people's observations can, undeniably, be fooled.

>"then you can't go anywhere"
>And I don't
You absolutely do, or else you're a liar, since you said here
in response to the question
>Q: How do we know that apostolic succession is valid?
that you derive apostolic succession's validity from - quote - "The historical claim."

So you're absolutely trying to go somewhere with it, or else this whole post
is a non-answer (hint: it is).

These kinds of threads are great honestly. I wish there was a legitimate /ch/ board or something

Because sin leads to more sin. You ever hear of a thing called diminishing returns? When you're fapping, vanilla doesn't cut it. then you move on to more hardcore shit, eventually you're fapping to hentai, bdsm, cuck porn, tranny's and eventually you're completely filled with pure evil deranged fetishes that aren't even close to resembling reality anymore. This is how satan gets you.

Self-evidency claims don't take you anywhere when something isn't necessarily self-evident (such as the proposition "thoughts exist"). You pigeon-hole yourself somewhere where no one needs to take your claim seriously since it has no translation value. You can do that, but you ought to no it's probably the least convincing way you could ever argue about anything.

/his/ has religion as an overtly stated topic for that board in the sticky

Who /SaintMichael/ here?

Several years ago I bought a statue depicting Saint Michael and had him blessed. Based motherfucker holds down my home while I am away.

Q: How do you know your particular incarnation of "the Church" was ordained by Christ rather than someone else's?

By the way - we've already gone full circle.

>anthropology
I dropped that shit after 2 years of listening of how races are gene frequency vibrations/social construct/big bad white person oppressing the noble, productive savages.

Hopefully it was different in the US, though.

Regarding the book, WOW what and eye opener, honestly, I almost cried.

Pope snubbed by Orthodox

I did that a couple times but got some sort of warning for false reporting.

What do you guys think of religion, Christianity mainly, and science being able to coexist with each other? Like in a "God created science' kind of thing?

You don't need Revelations for anything bro.
It doesn't tell you anything important at all.

=/

catholicism: the post

this is exactly why i converted to orthodoxy. i don't think any branch of christianity has ever produced more bitter angry atheists than roman catholicism has. way to go, rome. good job

Demarcate science for me and maybe we can talk about it.

lets debunk the peter thing shall we?

jesus praises peter after he had a revelation from heaven and you think jesus made him the leader ?, while a few verses he calls peter satan ? is peter satan or is he the leader of the apostles i am confused.
Matthew 16:18
>And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 16:23
>But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

So what was his rock?

>And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

>Christ, the Son of the living God. .

This was peters revelation from heaven that jesus was the messiah the son of god . that was his rock ,

hell= hades , who came back from the dead ?, the messiah the son of god . even the gates of dead did not prevail against the son of god

him being the son of god is where the gates of hell=hades not prevail against , seems more likely then a actualy church

Christians created modern science.

>you lack anything that necessarily corresponds to truth in any historical claim then. Again you're denying the Historical Critical Method and, moreover, you're now denying induction. While obviously induction provides probable claims it is still a method of attaining truth similar to how deduction (which you are upholding) can declare truth but can only do so through conditional statements. Both provide ways of achieve truth, despite their flaws that may make claims wrong.

>You absolutely do, or else you're a liar, since you said here

"And I don't" responds to the claim of being fallacious which I denied before as well, not the vague "can't go anywhere" statement.

I'm not trying to argue anything. This isn't a Logic class user, I can only tell you what I believe in. I believe in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, and I believe that if you had what William James called "the will to believe", it would be self-evident to you too. It's your inheritance, after all.

trips speaks truth. have started to fall into the same thing myself.

Also, Matthew 5:28
>But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 18:18
>Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

This verse is not the peter verse but it is the same . proving that the peter verse was not only for peter.

Matthew 16:19
>19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 2

Modern Science only cares about what it can quantifiably mathematize. It is not concerned about the truth, it is only concerned with material things that can be explained within numbers. The big bang, as the poster child of modern science is in itself a fallacy. I'd rather you look up why, but if you want me to explain i can. But the end result becomes that evolution is a lie, since the Bible specifically describes us as created beings. So you can't have both. Some parts interconnect, but at it's core "Science" goes almost entirely everything the Bible says. Ever thought to stop and wonder why?

Anti-colonialism and postmodernism has pretty much enveloped academic anthropology as a whole. You do still get great gems like Rene Girard despite it, though.

I just study it as a hobby in my personal time.

>be raided, enslaved, raped, murdered, and conquered for 500 years.
more like
>allowed one's people to be raided enslaved, raped, murdered, and conquered for 500 years

Keep in mind we never would have needed the crusades if christians hadn't dicked around for hundreds of years preaching tolerance and their leaders hadn't been too weak to invade muslim lands earlier.

It's like when you start with BBS-ing in the 90's and then end up on Cred Forums.

Or you start in the Warsaw Ghetto and up with Israel.

Or you start with Corn Flakes and end up with Fruity Pebbles.

Or you start with Honeymooners and end up with Modern Family.

you cucklords should really consider converting to kekism, retards may meme "MUH DOOS VULT" 24/7 but unless the orthodox church or kkk come to power its not happening because you faggots are too cucked.

>modern media
>speaking about the Orthodox or Catholic Church

I don't trust a single fucking bit of any of it.

I don't see the issue whatsoever and people saying there is an issue on both sides tend ot be fools.

>Again you're denying the Historical Critical Method and, moreover, you're now denying induction
Absolutely I am, because it's epistemologically empty.
I'm a rationalist, not a brain-dead empiricist.

>"And I don't" responds to the claim of being fallacious

>"If the "best" thing you have is a straight up fallacy, then you can't go anywhere"
>And I don't

>"If the "best" thing you have is a straight up fallacy"
>And I don't
You're not that terrible at English.
And even if you were, you'd be wrong, since appealing to tradition is still a fallacy. And you appeal to tradition *each and every time* you say things like

Start developing good thoughts and feelings. It is literally like food for the soul. You will soon find yourself surrounded in love and assurance of God.

Could I take care of business if I use my imagination? Like if I think about my girlfriend?

>this is how satan gets to you
lol you fuckers actually believe this horseshit? I'd say satan dug his claws into christianity pretty hard. From the time of its conception actually, christianity is responsible for the kikes getting into germanic europe and the fall of the roman empire.

First your faggot ancestors started with listening to some sermons, then you read the bible, then various sects of christianity were born and eventually we had evangelicals who are literal kike worshipers, this is how satan got you.

Also about anything concerning the phenomena of KEKHere are two great videos, explaining the inherent dangers of meme magic.

You eventually run into the exact same problem. It's not the act of watching a screen in-itself its the desire to milk your brain for pleasure. so it goes back to the thoughts you think. when you go down that rabbit-hole of imagination, it eventually leads you down dark places when you're looking for that rushyou get from lust.

There is nothing wrong with fapping, no scientific studies show that there is anything wrong with it, fapping alone does not alter your brain in any ways that are deterimental. Only watching porn does that. Don't listen to these twats who worship a kike on a stick. They don't know what they are talking about and can't think outside of the narratives they try to push. Hitler's table talks, and all of the memiors of those close to Hitler state that he hated christianity and with good reason. The religion of the japanese was according to Hitler much more compatible with his people and his cause.

>trusting moleynjew
wee lad
>muh chwistianity = civilization
autism, pure autism, the japanese pretty much told christians to fuck off and they did perfectly fine and roman, greek, egyptian, and a few other civilizations predate christianity. So sorry, you're pretty full of shit. It was the egalitarian buttfuckery which has its roots in christianity that killed the roman empire.

>being this delusional
Tsarist Russia - writes, scientists, aeronautics, productive. 1st for wheat exports (bigger than USA, Canada and Argentina combined), created biggest aeroplane (first airliner).

Please study your own history more carefully.

>And even if you were, you'd be wrong, since appealing to tradition is still a fallacy.

You're being ignorant as upholding a historical claim is not an appeal to traditional by the very definition of the terms.

>Absolutely I am, because it's epistemologically empty.

Funny shit, Hume. At least tell me when you're going to deny science wholesale so we can stop talking ahead of time.

I might want to smack you in the back of the head consistently and see when you decide to block it to prove my point.

>your particular incarnation of "the Church" was ordained by Christ rather than someone else's?

There are not several incarnations of the Church. You have the succesors and then you have meaningless people.

Peter is the first pope, and as such he had a place of special authority you can see all over tradition. The final word was his. Please, stop your stupidities about how the rock was something else. The very name Peter comes from the word "rock". It's very clear: "thu art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church".

lol
>DURRRRRRR MUH DANGERS OF MEME MAGIC
Have fun watching the edgelords kill your pussy god by ressurecting pepe in all of his glory.

>the japanese pretty much told christians to fuck off
Stopped reading here.

Yes-yes... Agrarian country that lost the war Japan... Scientists? In the USSR was the best education in the world!

Please study your own history more carefully.

Also, those words are from Jesus, your retarded theory makes no sense. Here you have the full extract: "He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon bar-Jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

So according to you, just after renaming Peter, Jesus talks about some other rock, which is himself talking in third person. And just after talking to this other rock, he is suddenly talking to PEter.

"Ignorant". Really. I reject empiricist methodologies for pretending one can arrive at any truth values from them. Because you can't. Likewise, you reject rationalism, only you do so whenever it's simply inconvenient for you. Like in the case of pic related. And in the case of apostolic succession.

You can smack me all you'd like - I'd never defend myself. I'm actually a consistent Christian who holds to nonresistance like Christ commanded us in the Sermon on the Mount~

>In the USSR was the best education in the world!

2/10

((((95% of technology imported, stolen, sold from the West))))

This is the problem with modern day "Scientism"
You can never be justified on holding a study as a true belief. You've not spent time evaluating the methodology to gather the select data. You have not compiled the artificats yourself to compose the raw data. You did not study any of the statistical analysis or reasoning of why one method was selected over another. And finally you did not verify the inferential integrity of the data gathered for the stated conclusion.

In other words, In order for you to accept the conclusion of a study as a true belief, you would have to make the claim that you agree with every single methodology, decision, assumption, computation and inference leading to the conclusion. In essence, in order to accept this study as true, you are doing it so on faith, and testimony alone.

>meaningless people
Hilarious.

Exactly.
