People were stupider

No.

I sure was.

I was

>no rival superpowers
>pre-911
>soaring stock market
>Have a pulse? You're hired.
>facebook and youtube hadn't been invented yet
>neither had smartphones
>SJWs weren't yet a thing

yeah it was a pretty good time desu senpai

We didnt have as much depressing information available 24/7 at our fingertips. Race relations were much better. Jobs paid better. Family units were more cohesive, and we went outside more.

Yes, I'd say we really were happier in the 90s.

Fpbp

Only cuz you lost your communism, ruskie

In the States? Yes.

I think so. I was born in 1990 but the memories I have growing up in the 90s are all pretty happy memories.

this guy

>income/ hours worked ratio was higher than today
>enourmous national budget surplus under the clinton administration
>fewer divorces and more nuclear families
>lower unemployment rate
>more manufacturers based in the US
>digital rennaisance beginning
>more whites in Europe and the US
>middle east relatively stable due to Uncle Saddam's regime
>fewer droughts
>post soviet/ pretty TERRORISM era of relative peace in thw world

Absolutely. Where the fuck did everything go so wrong?

>this thread

>these replies
>word for exact word

I have seen this exact thread before... Is this an elaborate troll?

Not really, crime was worse in the 90s

i was

The 90s were a comfy time. I wish I could have grown up in it. I was only 5 in 1999.

>this thread again
is it a bot posting this or what?

It's literally impossible to be conservative and be happy if you are not married

They were playing "Tonights gonna be a good night" in the grocery store today and a middle aged guy walked past me singing along.

I want what he has

Yes

>people
No.

I suppose it'd be more accurate to say they were a thing, but were largely ignored and regarded as lunatics, instead of taking over college campuses, governments, and HR departments all over the nation. but that doesn't make for concise greentext.

Two idiot presidents serving for a whopping total of 16 years.

"Mem'ber?"

No, you're wrong. What pushed them into an interregnum was the election of Bill Clinton. All their moralizing and feminist posturing went out the window when their golden boy turned out to be a rapist. It took at least 20 years for them to recover but have no doubt, early 1990's were every bit as bad as today.

I 'member!

they existed but they were mocked

People have a tendency to idealize the past. In the 90's everyone was saying than the 80's were the best time to be alive. In the 80's, it was the 70's, etc.

Nostalgiafags are cancer.

MEMBER FRIENDS?

The 90s were objectively a better time. This decade is horrific, and life will only get worse.

Never forget the 90's Cred Forums

Cred Forums wasn't around in the 90s

The Cold War apparently just ended and people felt like things can only get better and the only way is up.
Also it was the last decade before the Internet became a household item, people were more ignorant and happier for it.

>born in 1990

Your opinion is invalid.

Cool story friend. I'm giving you a thumbs up right now.

try 60s or 50s

I was born in the 80's and the only good thing about the 90's I remember, is that kids were not as fucking stupid as nowadays. The rest was pretty shitty already. And no internet, so people were even more retarded and manipulation was easier. Stop idealizing. Every decade and period has its good and bad sides.

I sure wasn't. I was a stupid kid and miserable most of my school days.

You experienced the 90s in the shithole that is Spain, not America.

Well my dad was making 22 bucks an hour slinging beer kegs around and subsequently retired on a kickass pension. He has a 6th grade education. My parents bought a house for something like 80k. I can never dream to amount to anything close to what they were able to do (and I'm an engineer). Probably will never own a home. So yes I'd say the 90s (and 80s and 70s) were objectively better than now.

The 90s were the real golden age of sjws, almost every single US/UK kids show were mostly "lessons" about equality or protecting the environment.

Todays fully grown 400 lbs social justice warriors were the kids brainwashed by the 90s cartoons. They don't have as much influence as they did in the 90s.

70's was the last good decade.
every one after that, shite.

This.

No one ever said the 70's. The 70's were awful.

Yeah. Working a part time job through the summer to buy a new car. Fucking awful time to be alive.

Spain isn't a shithole you inbred american.

We are all poorer now. We were robbed and we didn't even see it. It went exactly as the globalist elite planned.

nah, let him continue thinking that Spain is Mexico. nothing can be done with muritards.

>think back
>remember Captain Planet was just some retarded show about environmentalism
>think more
>realize my entire memory on cartoons were cultural propaganda
>this completely explains my anger and disappointment with life-everything I was told to believe growing up were filthy lies

This is how people snap.

>i was only pretending to be retarded

From the UK nothing looks like a shithole.

>this thread again

for me its the mcchicken

H-haha, it sure wasn't *wink*

I was born in the 80s and my memory of the 80s were generally happy as well. The early 90s had a similar exuberant atmosphere as the 80s but the late 90s was complete shit.

Late 90s is still better than present day but it's only because Far left social identity politics were still laughed at and ridiculed during that era. Mainstream leftism was just a lunatic fringe.

Exactly. Half the people who consumed this media in the 90s turned red pill. The other half turned into social justice faggots.

I don't think the elites anticipated the red pill movement, but things are still going well for them.

>flag

I'm recovering my dad's 90's 3.5" floppies right now.

Spain is indeed a shithole. Good luck not getting robbed in Barcelona.

Nothing can be done with moor rapebabies.

>Britain

EVER calling anyone inbred.

This. My deadbeat uncle saving away 10% of his welfare payments for 20 years smoking weed on the couch will have a higher net worth than me (doctor) will in 10 years of practice.

Sometimes you just miss the boat and have to swim

wow, there's someone trying to steal from tourists in a popular tourist destination? That never happens in any other country at all.

I dont get it?

>flood country with shitskins
>ask where the wealth went

I think it's just nostalgia. Sure, it was nice to see people not have their noses in their phones everywhere but I think people care a lot more about each other today than they did back then (from my perspective at least).

Yes.

What he said. Also we had rockos modern life. So theirs that.

ever stop to think that maybe it's because you were a CHILD that had zero responsibility and zero understanding of the world outside your hide-and-sex playing, vhs masturbating existence?

lol last time I looked at some of my old floppies all I found was crudely drawn MS Paint porn of various Marvel characters.

Bots and copy pasta shills

Cred Forums is literally a huge social experiment

I think people were more carefree, no social media whoring.

I am not sure if people actually care more these days. For me, it looks like its more like social media has created social media whoring or virtual signalling. They dont actually care but they like and retwteet stuff and pretend that it is caring. And media is trying monetize on these twitter trends in their search for knee jerk emotional reactions. Its like there is some weird hysteria going on where you have to show (pretend) that you care, unconditionally. At that point reason flies out of window.

Of course man. How silly it would be for those early memories to only be of me. It's not like I ever went places, met people, or did things. It's not like I ever interacted with others and saw the world or how it effected anyone.

Not everyone was dense like you.

SOMEONE POST THE FAMOUS VIDEO

so you were a political guru at age 9? what the hell happened since then??

Oh so now we're assuming things and then making an argument from it?

This line seems relevant right now.
>Not everyone was dense like you.

When had there been a good president then?

don't do it
