From what I've read, they had written a script about a future society that gets attacked and someone involved noticed that it was similar to Starship Troopers. Then the studio saw an opportunity to make more money and decided to get the rights to name the movie Starship Troopers and they tweaked the script a bit to resemble the book. It was never truly intended to be the movie version of Starship Troopers nor a clever parody of the book.

After Mat Damon got left on Mars at the end of Interstellar, the studio jews decided to leave him there and film The Martian.

Dick wrote the book as a response to pacifists demanding non-proliferation and the abolishment of the US nuclear weapons program. the Starship Troopers movie is shit. Originally it was supposed to be a totally different movie that they slapped the ST name on. The director only read about 40 pages of the book, decided it was "fascist propaganda", and tried to parody it without even understanding the source material. Oh shit mane I didn't even realize that. I got really into his stuff when i found it for the first time. kind of like redwall.

Farscape was okay but it's nowhere near as good as it's hyped up to be. Half the time it's incoherent, characters are extremely inconsistent (Chrichton and the squid face guy are best buddies half the time and hate each other the other half for example), plus it's always weighed down by just not having a big enough budget to really capitalize on its premise. It's a 6/10.

The world of Starship Troopers is basically a monoculture where Anglo-American right-wing authoritarians rose up and suppressed all opposition, and presumably over the course of a century or two managed to integrate all other peoples to their system to the point where a culture that could challenge their hegemony (i.e. East vs West, Christian vs Muslim) is effectively non-existent.

Basically the path Nazi Germany would have taken if had adopted a goal of forcibly integrating Jews, Roma, and Slavs into German culture rather than killing/removing them as they had planned to do with the Netherlands and the Volksdeustch spread out across Europe.

I didn't mind the ending. It wasn't great and it was kind of obvious, but it wasn't the wrong ending at least. I get why that's how it ended.

The acting and directing is what really makes that movie. Not the writing.

Considering the film came out in 2011 and they were working on it since the 80s, I would say the animation is actually better.
