It isn't really about welfare even. You go to the doctor, and tell them you think you ruptured your spleen, and they will do their utmost to avoid sending you on to a specialist, or send you on for more testing. Rather they will just prescribe you some sugar tablets, and hope the problem resolves itself. They do this, because regardless of who is using the system, the system can't handle the amount of people who think they need to see a doctor.

Same thing with our state run job agency. You go to them, and their job isn't to get you a job you are qualified for. The people there have been instructed to get job seekers out of their hands as fast as possible. They don't care if you get a job, or just stop showing up all together, because all that matters is their statistics for how many people are currently looking for jobs in the agency, which they want to naturally bring down to 0.

Schools have deteriorated too, with tax cuts, and education reform. No one fails grades here any more and has to sit back a year, because they just want to get as many people out of the schools as possible. At least we are still good about giving people who need a lot of extra help the help they need.

The fact that we can do that without it crashing our economy within a day or two should be telling you a lot.

I believe it is entirely possible to have a government that works more hands on at a local level, with public services, that concern all citizens being socialised. The EU has ruined what made us great in the 60-80s by opening up for other EU countries to low ball us on things we were all really rather happy to pay high taxes for, because it assured us our original high standards. But we have allowed election after election to lower taxes, and thus our quality of life. We should strive to restore those high standards, and restore jobs owned by Swedish government and companies, to benefit us all.

In it's current form it doesn't even do what it was set out to do anyway, because you still have the degenerates waiting outside every morning before opening. But deregulation will just lead to competition that might allow it to be accessed without foresight 24/7. And I don't that will improve the well-being of society.

30% income tax is the lowest tax bracket for income the highest is 60. While taxes on coorperations is OK the employer pays 31% taxes on your salary aswell. So hiring for simple jobs is not an option really wich is great now that we have so many people without any education and with half a brain. They 70% you probably got from some article I reacall reading it aswell. In that article they also added VAT. We pay 25% on most things that we buy except for some foods. So if you are just in the highest tax bracket and you over 70% of your gross salary will be spent on taxes.
This mixed that we greatly overpay industry workers also make studying less atractive. I can earn the same salary straight outta high school working in some warehouse that a newly examed enigneer or more.
