I love how Betty and Ronnie are all over him in the cartoon but in the CW show they bully him

I think it’s just casual dating, so it’s not like they’re in serious relationships

Archie is more or less friends with everyone, Betty and Veronica are obsessed with him. He dates them, but also other girls. Also, the only girl that is consistently into Jughead is Ethel.

in the 1940's, John L. Goldwater and Bob Montana decided to make a teen comic loosely based on the Andy Hardy movies starring Mickey Rooney.

The appeal is that it's comfy small town Americana where Archie and His Pals get into all sorts of wholesome hijinks but everything turns out all right in the end.

It will always have a special place in my heart because as a kid I would read Archie to escape from my shitty home/school life, and would fantasize about living in Riverdale.
