AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR / ANT-MAN & THE WASP Plot Leaks

Plot leaks from a few months back that are shaping out to be true based on recent toy leaks.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Thanos and his children – Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian – destroy planet Xandar to retrieve the Power Stone and begin assembling the Infinity Gauntlet. Meanwhile, on Earth, The Avengers are disbanded. Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon are wanted vigilantes, Scarlet Witch and Vision are on a romantic getaway in Scotland, Hawkeye and Ant-Man went off the grid, and Iron Man is developing new technologies to protect Earth from another alien invasion.

Thanos attacks the Asgardians’ ship and defeats Thor, who is cast out into space. Loki uses the Space Stone to teleport Bruce Banner to the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York City to find help and then surrenders it to Thanos in exchange for the Asgardians’ lives, becoming Thanos’ advisor. Thor is later found by the Guardians of the Galaxy, who are investigating Xandar’s destruction. Rocket and Groot accompany Thor to the kingdom of Dwarf King Eitri, who forged the Infinity Gauntlet for Thanos, and then had his hands cut off Eitri’s hands so as to not interfere with Thanos’ plans. Thor builds a new weapon, the Stormbreaker, which can damage the Infinity Gauntlet.

Meanwhile, Banner is found by Doctor Strange, who contacts Iron Man. Upon learning of the impending invasion, Iron Man begrudgingly asks Captain America for help. Spider-Man joins Iron Man and Doctor Strange as they battle Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian, who steal the Time Stone from Strange. The trio pursues them to Thanos’ warship, which leaves Earth. Meanwhile, Scarlet Witch and Vision are ambushed in Scotland by Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, but rescued by Captain America, who takes them to Wakanda so Black Panther and his forces can protect the Vision.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax and Mantis go to Knowhere for information and find the Collector being tortured by Thanos for information on the Reality Stone’s whereabouts on a faraway planet. Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and Nebula join them as they race there before Thanos, but are ultimately defeated and rescued by Thor, Rocket and Groot, who managed to briefly hold off Thanos due to the Stormbreaker. Thanos escapes with the Reality Stone. Meanwhile, the Children of Thanos attack Wakanda with an army of Outriders. War Machine and Banner in the Hulkbuster armor arrive to help Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon, Winter Soldier and Black Panther defend it.

Thanos join the battle and reclaims the Time Stone. Iron Man, Thor, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive to help, and defeat the Children of Thanos, but not before Thanos destroys Vision and reclaims the Mind Stone. He then sacrifices Gamora, his favorite daughter, for control of the Soul Stone, which is hidden on a pocket dimension accessible only to whoever has assembled the remaining Infinity Stones. With the Infinity Gauntlet complete, Thanos prepares to subjugate the cosmos, but Loki betrays him, bidding the surviving Avengers enough time to escape and regroup, and they vow to stop Thanos no matter the cost.

ANT-MAN & THE WASP leaks are a little more dubious, but sound credible enough.

After violating the Sokovia Accords, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) decides to collaborate with the FBI in order to stay close to his daughter Cassie Lang (Abby Ryder Fortson) and is placed on house arrest by Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park). Businessman Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins) wants to weaponize the Ant-Man technology confiscated from Lang, forcing Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope Pym (Evangeline Lily) to go on the run. They are trying to find a way to rescue Hank’s wife and Hope’s mother, Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the Quantum Realm, aided by Hank’s old friend and assistant, Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), but need Scott’s help.

Scott recruits his old friends Luis (Michael Peña), Kurt (David Dastmalchian) and Dave (T.I.), who now run a successful security firm, to help Hope steal the Ant-Man suit from Burch’s corporate headquarters. Burch is working with Ava (Hannah John-Kamen), a mysterious woman also known as “The Ghost”, armed with advanced phasing technology that causes her constant pain, and wants revenge against Pym and a cure for her powers, which leave her in constant pain. Burch and Ava eventually steal Pym’s mobile headquarters, and Ant-Man and The Wasp race against time to prevent the Quantum Realm technology from falling into the wrong hands and using it to reach Janet before it’s too late.

Ava slowly spirals into insanity and ultimately goes rogue, betraying and killing Burch by phasing her hand through his head and becoming hellbent on destroying Ant-Man and the Wasp at all costs, leading to a vicious showdown between her and Scott, Hope, Janet and Hank.

What happens after Loki sacrifices himself? Like, does Thanos retreat or does he turn the universe into his image or what? Weren’t very clear on the ending.

Sounds good.

Lokis death will sadden me. fuck everyone else

Wow so antman has nothing to do with inifinity war?

Nope. Hawkeye's role is also minimal.

The leak wasn't clear on it. There seems to be a grey area on whether Loki dies or just gets imprisoned and tortured by Thanos for his betrayal. Either way, the movie allegedly ends with Thanos beginning to "rebalance the cosmos" by destroying entire solar systems, spreading his forces everywhere, and etc.

But doesn’t Hawkeye’s family die or something that makes him become Ronin? Pic related is from IW2.

okay what the fuck? dude, there is no "gauntlet". the "gauntlet" isn't a thing. thanos ALWAYS wears gloves/gauntlets as part of his normal getup.

when he collected all the infinity gems, he just stuck them to his glove on his hand for convenience. it was just to keep them there. the point isn't 'the gauntlet'. the point isn't 'once you assemble these stones, you have some super powerful weapon'. the point is, each one gives you power over one aspect of the universe, and if you have them all, you have power over all of them. it's not like exodia.

there's all this wanking over the gauntlet. there is no gauntlet.

also stormbreaker can damage the gauntlet, wtf? that is so stupid. i really hope this isn't real.

The Gauntlet is clearly a special item in the movies, bro. It's not just a piece of cloth.

>Stormbreaker

Holy shit, please let Beta Ray Bill show up.

He won't.

I wonder how wanked Strange will be in this film

How much screen time do the characters get? Is it evenly spread out or is it mainly guardians and Robert Manlet Jr.?

hes all cgi

VISION NOOOOOO
LOKI NOOOOOOOOOO
GAMORA NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The comic series this is based on is literally called infinity Gauntlet

Sounds like Iron Man reigns supreme in it.

It was retarded to split Infinity War into two movies a year apart. Either the storyline gets put on hold and they have non-canon movies or they do the 90s Captain Marvel movie which is out of order (which doesn't even come out until Infinity War 2 is already released)

I don't understand

ok so then why aren't there tiny little infinity symbols on the glove then?

the comic it is based off of is called 'the infinity gauntlet' afterall.

More focus on the spacebound Avengers, according to reports. Captain America and the Earthbound Avengers don't do much until the Battle of Wakanda.

Well, that's disappointing.

Bump.

Stark clearly dies in part 2. It's so obvious.

So like...is there some title card that says "Months before Infinity War" or something? This comes out after IW but is presumably set before.

Avengers 4 looks way more interesting
