Actually we see 2 different kind of response to a traumatic childhood experience from Ben and Rey. Thats why I would love if IX or expanded media cover his political ideals. The FO came about because nothing was getting done in the entrenched two party system of the New Republic and one of the parties (The Centrists) wanted to secede to create the FO so they could essentially stop crime waves dominating non Republic worlds.
