It must be him. With his long deserved vengeance finally becoming reality, Angelo moves his hand over his gun. The door opens-

And everything worked out. Fango is dead and Nero is alive. The only casualty was one unfortunate bystander. Maybe they wouldn't buy it, but it still leaves him in a better position than admitting he did it out of spite.

The only reason why Corteo flipped out was because he thought Angelo was starting to enjoy being a mafia.
Angelo would obviously come under blame for his death but it's mostly indirect. Not to mention he tried his best to save him despite the messy actions Corteo took.

Barbatos is too much into Nero to let it go.
Not to mention Corteo playing it well and inevitably getting caught later only makes it worse for Angelo.
If Corteo acts like a total noob, then Angelo won't be suspected as much given that Angelo is a total master at acting.

Chances are he'll take out the rest of the family, but I'm not too sure if Ganzo will be included in that mix. Despite everything, Avilio is in debt to him, giving him a meaning in life. But them aside, when Avilio said he'll be meeting Corteo soon it pretty much confirmed he'll be dying. Maybe pic related will be where it takes place.

He'll confront Angelo in the last episode, after he kills all the Vanettis, pointing a gun at him and saying something along the lines of "well done brother, you did everything exactly according to plan, but now it's time for you to go meet mommy and daddy" before Angelo pulls out a gun faster and shoots him.
