I feel like the animation got better as the show progressed, usually it's the other way around.

This series was so painful to watch, I'm surprised I managed to finish it. Probably because I knew it at least it would have an end.

Wasn't particulary terrible but it really triggered me how everything was so...how to say it...cliche? Every good guy was comically good and every bad guy was comically bad, and absolutely everything went always well for the good characters.

I don't know very well how to describe it, it was kind of annoying see how everything always gone so well, there wasn't any sense of danger or drama.

There isn't really anything similar as far as I can tell. The closest thing might be Shuumatsu no Izetta. The director hasn't done a lot, but I liked Tribe Cool Crew a lot. The guy that seems to be writing is very questionable.

They didn't really focus on other people did they. Endora seemed really empty. For a castle that rules all endora it lacks a town. It's just in the middle of a jungle.

It provides something that most modern fantasy/adventure anime don't. A straight forward story with no contrived bullshit. Endride was at least average, which is more than enough for me these days. A part of me still has hope that fantasy/adventure animu will return one day.

Mikage was a very good antagonist, but I calling him a villain might be a little too harsh for him. Asanaga on the other hand is a stone cold murdered and almost murder of millions.

Would watch something set on the same world but I'd prefer if was about some new group on a new adventure than continuing the story.

This is probably a weird thread to bring it up in, but I'd say that learning moon is a good thing either way. It's a lot of work, obviously, but the plus side is that for this hobby you'll be able to read stuff like manga or light novels that aren't picked up by an official company or fantranslators and that you'll be able to understand anime without having to rely on funi and crunchy's memesubs.

Also it doesn't use the more popular textbook that is full of English. Everything is in Japanese, but when you learn to read hiragana and katanaka it is easy to follow. There is another textbook that shows you the translations of the new words and grammar.

Did a few small changes, plus adding an extra app. I think it is a better way to learn the language than what people usually do in DJT, but do go there for questions. On the other hand if you don't care that much about learning the language DJT probably has more efficient guides for just consuming media. But if you do a lesson every week in two years you will be a different man for sure. I really fucked up during the summer, but I am getting back to it.

It was an overall enjoyable ride, but I can't say I'll miss it. That ending was pretty bad and mostly felt like it was being made up on the fly.

How big is endora? For the center of the earth it must be massive.

It is very hard to see even with the maps we have seen. Their travelling time is highly unreliable too. But considering this pick and that it seems to have an opposite gravity, it could be pretty big. But there seems to be shit ton of water.

Staying would have been good but to go back it would have been hard to say goodbye which is why he did what he did. His dad kinda got laser dragoned so his mother only has him. Endora is now just a memory to him.

Why was every fucking building in this shit so empty. At least they could have made the rooms a little smaller to compensate but no, every room in that fucking castle (If you can call that big grey pile of rock a castle) was as big as a gym, and the whole thing was inhabited by like, 10 people.

Let's at least end with some discussion. So what did you like about Endride?

It had a lot of flaws. Emillio kept on going with his revenge for too long and flipped flopped like nothing. They didn't build on interesting elements like the state of the country and dealing with it. A lot of the episodic plots weren't that interesting.

But it was enjoyable anyway. The adventure wasn't grand, but it felt like enough of an adventure. The atmosphere was relatively calm and steady. It never felt pushy or too slow, it mostly kept a very enjoyable air to it. Despite all their weaknesses the characters and their interactions were fairly enjoyable too.

It might have not been a wild ride, well, if we don't count the above world, but it was like a nice evening bike ride during which you can't help but feel happy like a child because the wind is blowing against your face and it makes you feel alive. And then just how it quietly started and brought some happiness in your life it quietly ended and you fell asleep with a smile on the face, even if it is just for today.

That's pretty much how I felt about it. It wasn't perfect by any means, and there were plenty of elements I think could have been trimmed for a tighter show and have it take up less episodes. But even then, I really liked it.

I've said it before, but as this is pretty much the last time I'll get the chance to say it, I'll say one more time. One of the things I really liked about Endride was how delightfully low budget it was in a lot of aspects. It had the charm of an early 2000s Saturday morning cartoon - or rather, Saturday morning anime show - for me, and brought me back to that nostalgic time period. While I'd rather not have every show be like that, it was nice to have something that reminded me of those days.

I don't know when I'll find another show quite like this, so it was nice to be able to bask in the warm feeling for the ~6 or so months it was on the air.
