Negotiation is not random at all. All the enemy personae have a fixed personality that will show up on L1. Your have a small pool of questions and the correct answer is always the same. Also you can skip the negotiation for recruiting if you had the persona before. It's basically a toned down version of SMT 4 negotiations.

It differs by dungeon but most of the times you need at least 2 entries, usually 3. It wouldn't be a big deal if you have sensei massage you because the activity at day is fewer than at night anyways.

P5 sold better than P4 by a lot and it's not a casual friendly game really because the game is at least 70-80 hours long and it's a bit harder than P4 which is why they added the safety difficulty for all the casuals and fujos who can't possibly win a boss fight normally.

I played on hard and kept to the average level which you can check online. It was about average difficulty I'd say. I found persona 3 more difficult but mostly due to the party AI factor. On hard, the early bosses are actually tougher just because they hit harder and you have fewer tools. But the thing is every early boss fight has a gimmick that you can use to pretty much give you a free win if it works.

By late game this time you can fuse persona above your level by paying money so it's pretty easy honestly. You can have an insane MC pretty early and your party members are also very strong.

But then an hour later Morgana says he was born in the Velvet Room, not Momentos, so the whole thing is confusing.
