Liam is usually the best when he's at the controls in 3 person or more LPs because he's usually willing to ignore conversation to focus on the game if he needs to.

I'd attribute most of the player-related problems with the MGSV playthrough to the fact that Liam actually had to be present as a personality and couldn't focus on the game as much, so he just kept doing repetitive strategies, reckless behavior and didn't pay attention to mission objectives very well at all.

I think that's mostly a joke but it certainly is possible. He likely has fifteen or more at least if you count sticks and not all will easily emulate on a PC. As far as I know 360 is still the most reliable and mixing and matching controller types can lead to some awkward situations with a lot of games if they don't support them natively.

He really was a super nice dude. We talked about game dev sometimes. He helped get me into fighting games, and non-shit games in general. Decent anime, too. It was a simpler time. A nicer time. I was an angry child growing up and grew up into an angry man all throughout CEGEP (early college, to non-quebecois) but hanging with Liam was never a bad time. Ever.

Seeing Liam was nice because he wasn't naive at all, but was just genuinely really nice. I never got the vibe that he Had A Hard Life, but had his share of hardships as any other person does, but came out of it still nice and polite and positive and hopeful. I'd have probably developed into a much nicer and calmer and generally better person myself had I hung out with him more instead of other people, who, honestly, have made me develop into a hateful, spiteful, resentful and most of all REGRETFUL person.

It was a nicer time back then. I miss it and I miss him, 2bh. I don't stay up at night thinking about him or anything, but when I see him mentioned on Cred Forums or hear him mentioned by my other college friends from that era, I get more than a little nostalgic.
