GH2 was still the best in the series.

Yeah, they have the "hardest guitar songs" section in the store, but it's pretty sparse, and there's very little recent stuff.

You can still get stuff pretty cheap if you watch Woot and check Costco sometimes, but the Mad Catz drums are SHIT so avoid those

It's a cost/benefit thing now. Harmonix broke loose of EA, so now they have to sell cheap shitty songs to the masses instead of the more technically impressive stuff to the smaller group of score chasers. I guess it keeps the lights on, and vocalists are probably happier, but what the fuck ever

Why are there so many drum dongles on eBay?

Bought an xplorer a couple days ago, works flawlessly, i didn't even know GH3 existed for PC, it was a pain in the ass but i got it working.

Bought a GHWT guitar and holy shit its bad, the buttons barely respond, you need to press them all the way to the bottom because for some reason they decided to change switches for the crappy buttons, im never using that piece of crap and i feel bad about spending money on it.

Bought lego rockband that i picked up at a local game store and it has a nice soundtrack but its definitely easier than GH3.

Rockband 3 is very hard to find and it feels like looking for a needle in a haystack.

what other Guitar hero/rockband games should i get?

I backed that shit just for the return of Rock Band Network, but nooooooo. They botched the hell out of that campaign. None of previous games' songs? No cross-platform entitlements? I get it's a money thing, but get the fuck out of my face with that shit

Nothing they can do about it, really. PC players do too much pirating/modding for the music industry's tastes. Hell, people were able to get full multitrack audio from the console versions of RB, imagine what they could do with the PC version.

All reviews in magazines back then said it basically killed your wrists due to the extremely uncomfortable positions you had to hold the DS in.

My PS3 one is fine. It's my secondary that I use when I have people over and we play RB4

I loved the heyday of those games, RB drumming was my shit. I'd come home everyday after high school and play BEFORE I even I started my homework.
