Pretty good with wild run.
The missions can actually be fun and the world map is probably the largest ever made for a racing game and it has all kind of enviromens.

I'm having trouble deciding whether I should use KB+M or controller.

Just started

I don't give a shit about the story, I just want to drive to Miami and New York

why can't i just freeroam instead of dealing with this bullshit?

>3 posts
>2 posters
>2 posts with images

hm...

yeah it'd be nice to just have a car and drive around in a comfortable way.

60 hours in, having lots of fun grinding platinum skills, however id be pissed if i paid money for an mmo

It'd be nice if it ran better on my potato processor.

You can, after the initial prologue, basically drive wherever you want and ignore story missions.

great, with this game maybe I can learn where in America are the states exactly.

how accurate is the map anyway?

>Racing game with no anime customizability

it's shit

I've been playing it for a couple of days now since it's up for grabs for free on U-play until October.

It's not bad, It's like a TDU 2.5 with questionable physics and I guess a huge map to freeroam since it took me about maybe 7-10 real minutes to get from Detroit to Miami Intertnational Airport going Approx 270~KPH.

All in all the only negative from all this is >Ubisoft, so expect a shitton of DLC and forced to use U-play, even if you get it on Steam. Or buy from FUCKING GAMESTOP.

I just played the prologue since it's the only thing that finished downloading so far.
and the rest of the game is still downloading.

I already use Uplay for Siege anyway.
yes, it was free, I can't imagine actually buying a racing game when I am just downright bad at them.

It's a miniaturized version of the USA that has all the major/famous cities, but obviously cuts out a lot too. I don't even remember if it's divided into states or just general territories so I wouldn't count on this game as a means of learning the states. It does manage to keep the general feel of each area's uniqueness. I like to just set a random waypoint on the map and drive through backstreets of the country, as opposed to highways, to get there.

it's annoying how the mouse look is so slow and I've looked through the options and can't really adjust.

It only states the country as: South, Midwest, East & West Coast, and Mountain States

>hold left on the D pad
>says i need to buy wild run to use this feature

umm isnt that what they are giving away for free?

>umm isnt that what they are giving away for free?

No, they're giving away the base game for free, you'd still need to buy their, I guess it's an expansion pack, Wild Run, to use it apparently

Pretty shit, but somehow pretty ok.

Cons
>The way they do speed and distance is terrible
>Hitboxes are wonky as fuck sometimes
>If you don't play PvP you'll be a broke bitch with few cars to choose from
>Too many cars feel the alike for such a small roster
>Traffic is retarded
>Online crew is mostly worthless
>The story
>The dialoauge
>Physics are just. JUST.
>BUY WILD RUN FOR X, Y, Z
>FUCK CHASE MISSIONS

Pros
>Grinding for parts is doesn't feel grindy at all
>The road challenges to help level your cars are pretty intuitive
>Cars you don't use still level up, and new cars can be kitted levels close to your higher use cars
>For an arcadey racer its gas response and steering is ok
>Nos
>Some character ineraction/Some dialouge
>The wonky hit boxes actually help sometimes (traffic, trees)
>PvP is pretty fun

I'd give it about a 6.5. For a free game it wasn't totally awful, but i'm glad I didn't drop 60 bucks on this day one.

Makes me want to go buy Dirt Rally and Forza Horizon 3 right now.

so what does the expansion pack do?
the base game just seems like a NFS clone of 'go to X and race'

It adds 3 new classes: Monster, Drift, and Drag.

I honestly forgot the rest of the stuff it adds, IF it adds anything else

You can buy bikes and do the different daily events that are like mini forza horizon fests to win cars and money.

Plus you earn free cars in each of those new specializations iirc

>If you don't play PvP you'll be a broke bitch with few cars to choose from
is pvp alive? i couldnt find any to join

I hit max level and can find matches.

Even when I was around 20~ I could still find people to go against mostly because of how many people are playing it because its free right now

You might either have to wait to get your level up or hop to different lobbies

yeah you'll have to finish the story or the next story mission briefing/phone call will keep on popping up.

is this game fun just for driving around, enjoying the scenery with music on? I usually do this in GTA San Andreas (never played the others) but as you'll understand, the game's dated as shit.

I don't care about actual racing and winning. What games let me do this?

I am not sure about enjoying the scenery, you go too fast to be able to do that.

>is this game fun just for driving around, enjoying the scenery with music on?
It's perfect for that.

Fun for a bit, but all it made me do was reinstall the infinitely better NFS: Hot Pursuit

That's the best thing about the game.

This game looks are to be desired for a modern racing game, but for just driving around its pretty comfy

Sadly doesn't run for me on Windows 10.

are there cheats to control the weather and time of day (ie permanent dawn/dusk or night)

>cheats

Its an online-only game. So no, no cheats

if they removed the RPG shit it would be really good.

It should just have regular progression, and there shouldn't be car "leveling".

>always loved and defended this game
>haven't played it in months
>decide to fire it back up
>"there is a problem verifying ownership of this game"
>can't play it because uplay a giant pile of shit EVEN THOUGHT THE FUCKING GAME WAS FREE FOR DOWNLOAD AT THE FUCKING TIME
Fuck uplay. Never again.

what if i dont play online

yarr

the game is literally free this month on Uplay

You can get it for free on Origins

Doing skills is the addicting. Although some of them are bullshit because the traffic makes it impossible to do certain things forcing you to retry.

lol WOW LITERALLY? like ooooooh my god, I literally l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y can NOT believe it I cant I cant even

There's a "jump" challenge for every part. Literally just hold throttle down and try over and over until you max out and get the bonus stats on the part you're on.

Doesn't have bicycles.

LITERALLY?

>Doing follow the race line against a gold ghost
>About to beat silver and get gold part
>Turn around a corner
>CAR
>CAR DIRECTLY ON THE LINE
>TREE
>Ghost flies by without even swerving

Its even worse when you retry a section and they spawn a car on the EXACT same section again.

Basically, rather. Sometimes traffic gets in the way. Sometimes the ramp is a little ways down the road and needs some turning. Some parts for some cars, it's faster elsewhere but doing jumps is pretty much your best bet if you're trying to max out a car fast.
Sorry for triggering you, user. I've sent for a pack of trained Brazilian teenagers to fuck your wife while you recuperate.

I never understood these sort of observations. Are people allowed to only post once in each thread or something?

so what control scheme do you use

Forza Horizon setup works for everything

LB/RB - Down/UpShift
LT/RT - Brake/Gas
Y - Change Camera
X - Nos
A - Hand Brake
B - Back on track

Mapped the rest of the stuff to the left and right thumb sticks or d-pad

>Down/UpShift
I can't drive, and I sure ass can't play manual
maybe this game just isn't for me

It's made by ubisoft.

Its primarily an arcade racer and automatic is default for most all racing games.

I used to do automatic only, but once you get used to it you won't want to play racing games any other way. You get more control of your speed and it makes you get a better feel for each car.

It won't kill you to try it, and its not like you'll be fucking up a real car by testing it

Manual is an option, it's automatic by default.

its alright

Automatic is fine for 95% of the game. Unless you're super tryhard, you don't need manual. Most the cars have super tight gear ratios so it's more of a PITA to shift for yourself anyways.

>free
Pretty good.

...

try rebooting your pc and uplay
i had a similar issue with far cry 4

...

You should literally never post again

Yes, you can't have conversations. Post once then close the thread.

Unless you are posting porn, then you can post all the images you want.

Only place I do not like so far is Miami, fuck that place.

...

Hit max rank in two days. Lots of staying up until 7am and not blinking.

I like it. It's a solid arcade racer. I can somehow only get 30-40 fps out of it, regardless of graphics settings. 3.0 x4, 8GB, GTX 780.

Also people online are hilarious.

>be chilling at the vegas airport watching the planes land and take off while getting high
>comfy.jpg
>some guy shows up in his loud-ass black Dodge Challenger
>check its level
>300
>lqtm
>he hits me a couple times, bangs my baby up pretty good
>I slowly finish smoking and grab my controller
>he starts honking and lining up next to me
>is he finna
>he spins his tires
>he is finna
>I spin my tires
>he takes off
>I don't
>he goes down the airstrip and comes back, slams full force into me
>I start honking at him back
>he lines up next to me
>he lines his level 300 ass up next to my level 1018 Evora that I've beaten level 1299 cars of his model in
>we both take off, full boost
>he gets absolutely completely roflstomped off the line
>he goes for the pit maneuver first thing
>thisdirtysombitch.jpg
>it didn't matter, all he saw were my taillights
>I get to the line at the other end of the airstrip and wait for him
>he lines up next to me and honks three times
>we take off, I don't use nitrous this time but he does
>same thing, same failed pit maneuver
>start swerving in wide arcs just in front of him as he powers full force straight ahead and he still can't catch me
>he quits the game

Also I teleported to a location in Florida and Ubi put me beneath the kill plane. imgur.com/a/8afmR

>780
>3.0 x4
Maybe try putting it in at least a 8x slot...

so people online pretend to be hotshot race car drivers then get btfo?

that's a pretty funny story, I'm kind of liking the game just by reading that

cute :3

Did they finally add a photo mode?

so how do you git gud at this game?

I chose the Dodge Challenger because it had bigger numbers.

buying anything but a skyline is a waste of time, the game gives you everything for free

max out the Double Down perk as early as possible, respecs are cheap as fuck and you can do one after max rank for more useful/viable stuff with slightly more perk points available to you

chaining fast travels across the map is faster than driving in most situations

if you see a car part circle on the map, the part will always be in the exact center

other than that, learn how to out-in-out corner and you're good.

>challenger
There are only a few games in which the pigfat Challenger is any good. Most games favor lightweight, grippy "momentum" cars.

Nobodies very talkative unless they get salty online. Even then, they might not say shit.

One from today

>Street race
>Haven't managed to win one race playing this game online out of a dozen matches so I came prepared
>Car level is higher than everyone's
>Collision is on
>Have the full nos at start perk on to blast my way to first place
>One guy gives the full on gta race special to the rest of the pack
>Today is my day god
>Proceed to lead the race by 2~3 seconds for a long time
>Get to the final stretch
>1 decent guy in a mustang is coming up fast and I already used my boost
>He still has his
>Collision is on
>Wait until he gets right next to me and catches some air
>Sorry m8, but I need this one
>Bump him
>He goes careening off the street into a palm tree
>Surprisingly unashamed I coast through the finish line
>Look at chat after he finishes in 3rd place
>"Nice bump noob"
>Reply back with a cheeky "Thanks m8"

Never said anything after that and we race for almost an hour. I think most people just turn it off after typing shit because that chat is so obnoxious even transparent.

>tfw you get the millionaire achievement and realized that if you had just stayed in your camaro you would have an agera by now

The BRZ is pretty dumb once you get your hands on it too.

If the meta hasnt changed since i last played, the Agera isnt even worth it. Last I played, the Aventador was nerfed, but still top tier and I used that

I guess, didn't know there wasn't one.

What's the most simulator tier driving game on PC?

probably iRacing. If you bump people, its on your permanent record, and if you crash, youre out.

Name one good Ubisoft game.

Ill wait.

I'll bite. Beyond Good and Evil?

>If you bump people, its on your permanent record
Doesn't that game feature Nascar? Why would they be super anal about that when that's one of the unwritten strategies of one of the leagues?

Should I buy a usb steering wheel for this game?

no enjoy grinding for 20 hours tho kek

Maybe nascar is exempt from it. Or its dailed down where if you outright attempt to destroy people you are docked

I think the beta dirt races were more fun

god damn it yes you cheeky cunt

What happened in beta dirt race?

you were allowed to go off track without loosing 70% of your speed in seconds

unbiased opinion:
I picked it up for free because my acquaintance was bugging me to play it with him
we both ended up uninstalling it in less than 2 hours, this game is so fucking bad and not fun

How's the car balance? Are there any tryhard MLG rides that everyone uses or can I get away with driving the cars I find cool?

Actually sounds like a good change really.

This game sits in that middle of the road arcade racer. That would be pushing it too far towards the more serious racing game for a game that lacks so many other elements.

That would'be been a decent choice for the circuit races, but I imagine they left it out for the same reasons.

>largest ever made
FUEL nigga.

I think you read my post wrong, going off track and hitting obstacles is less viable in 1.0 than it was in the beta.

see
From my experience up until the 1000's you can do whatever. You won't be able to afford much anyways without winning online races so you don't have to worry much about the top try hard cars until then.

First complaint i hear about that.
Me and a couple friends are all running it perfectly on w10, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Ah, yeah my late night dyslexia kicked in. That also explains part of the reason I hate dirt and raid modes so much

Don't even know if the game ever got cracked since it's an MMO.
Get it off uplay and check if you can fuck arround with it.
If you can't, pirate FUEL.

Afwul with a wheel, probably better using a controller

Well, I did afford the Zonda and got it to 1299 already, even without touching the PVP side of things.

I haven't tried on the newest Nvidia drivers but they recommended that I roll back to some ancient driver about 10 updates ago. Not worth that hassle. Just crashes instantly.

Recent? Siege.
Older? Shit nigga don't go there.

is it really? I just bought one and was hoping to give it a try

Did you try reinstalling/updating the C++ redist?
That fixed it for me with every game that wouldn't open on w10

Also is it just me or does the P spec Viper kinda suck? Trying to do History in the Making with it just gets me killed, in the start the AI dusts me like I'm standing still and things aren't much better in the corners either, despite the ~30 level advantage in my favor.

which one did you buy?

i think i expected too much of it, since you don't really have to manage your throttle or worry about locking up on the downshift

I really should've been able to do that, but since this game is free I bought like a dozen cars to race with to try them out.

In PvP you get quite a bit more money plus if you use the perks to up your winnings you can go apeshit.

My opinion is that Ubisoft needs to stop shilling on here.

Why are wheels and pedals so fucking expensive?

Playing it now, if I gold skills in my perf class, can I use those parts on my dirt class? Or do I have to do the same skill in every class to get the part for every class?

>Why are wheels and pedals so fucking expensive?
They're pretty niche and are more demanding to manufacture than a simple gamepad. Not to mention that the intended userbase for higher end wheels tends to use a lot of money on their setups.

you can get a Logitech DFGT for pretty cheap, but at that point you should look into racing sims where you can really use the wheel

Those parts only count for that class and that car you got it with. So, if you had 2 pref cars and did the challenge with one you only get to use the part for that car.

And if you want to retry that same challenge with a different car you can, but you don't get a part so you can't farm it.

Fanatec CSR with pedals

>And if you want to retry that same challenge with a different car you can, but you don't get a part so you can't farm it.
You do get a part from it every time you do it. The fastest way to powerlevel your car is hitting the west coast skills for gold parts in all slots, then grinding plats on non-jump skills in a place of your choosing. Disregard the guides that say you should use the jump skill in Miami, jumps have an incredibly low chance of giving you parts compared to everything else.

I was gonna say, been grinding my shitty dirt class on ones I've already done and I'm getting new parts

Huh, I was online today trying to do that and I got nothing from it with a different car.

To be fair it was on the long jump skill.

You should get a loot drop each time you get a medal. Bronze to gold always gives a part unless the part level is too low for your current ride, platinum throws you a """smart""" loot roll that has a chance of giving you cosmetic junk or brouzouf instead (the smart loot from jumps seems to be heavily weighted towards non-part rolls)

>is this game fun just for driving around, enjoying the scenery with music on?

it sure is

Just cruising around is the best part of the game

>Its even worse when you retry a section and they spawn a car on the EXACT same section again.
There's a race line skill in the mountain states that has a fucking truck spawn on the road 90% of the time. It actually spawns 100ft in front of you, too.

I can see the appeal in doing these while there's traffic, but it's a pain in the dick most of the time. It's basically an RNG of how many times you have to restart to get a gold/platinum part.

It's a decent free game.

I like racing online, but the thing is if you heave better car it means you will win. I thought I am really good, but then I realised my car was bettern than the opponents.
It really sucks, because driving is quite good, better than in new NFSs.

Rally physics is awful.

The map is incredible. When I read "race across the US" I was expecting a bunch of instanced cities. Even small towns have memorable landmarks.

Decent gameplay.

I'm getting a ton of technical bugs and the car selection is absolutely dismal. I'd be furious if I payed full price for this game.

>I'd be furious if I payed full price for this game.

>Rally physics is awful.
Seriously this. Raid spec is absolute trash. You hit the smallest bump and your car turns sideways. No difference beween dirt and raid apart from the aesthetic.

Never used monster trucks to see if they handle better, but i would assume they do.

R6 Siege, AC1+2/w dlcs+4, Rayman series, Prince of Persia series,Far Cry series, Trials series, Splinter cell series, Ghost Recon series

Couldn't you find harder question?

tfw i bought the bmw m3 something and i can't use it in missions because it doesn't have street or dirt spec...

I'm so sorry.

Is it normal to barely have any missions on the map? I'm level 12, got to the east coast, but I keep running into mission level locks. I have to grind dumbass stuff to be able to keep racing.
It feels wrong as fuck, this is a racing game with barely any races?

I tried playing it yesterday but the controls were all kinds of fucked up. Tried playing it with a dualshock 4 and ds4w, without it and also a driving force gt and it was always kinda fucked. Gave up on it and waiting for horizon 3 now

KB + M

Did you upgrade a car to dirt spec?

Every time you get a spec you should go upgrade a car to it. It opens up new races, and there really isn't that many races

Okay, this is very important, is this game good for drifting?

You can drift, but outside of the expansion (which isn't free) you won't be getting too hekktik with your skidz

Fucking happened to me yesterday. They evem put the racing line on the lest side of the road. Fuck

Level up. This unlocks Skill Events.

I don't like the driving. It doesn't feel good. Which sucks cause I want to play it. Should I suck it up and give it more time? I've put maybe two hours into it.

This game is fun. I don't think I would have bought it though. And it's a complete rip off asking 30$ for the Wild Run DLC. I could pay at most 10$ for what it offers. Calling All Units might change things a LOT, and for the better actually. They will charge 30$ tho, so noone will buy it. Shame.

>Calling All Units
Didnt know they were still releasing DLC for this. Maybe they'll do a bundle for both for cheaper

Post your best car

What does free until October mean? That you can download it for free until then or that you can only play it for free until then?

Rocksmith

They will do a bundle from what I've read, but I don't know how cheaper it will be.

No, it's yours to keep.

>no Mazda to choose from
Not sure I want this game.

There are two of them.

Got it for free from Ubisoft because ACU was ass. Little did I know that this too would be an insult. Everything about it is bad with not even a single redeeming factor.

The fuckers need to update the wiki then. What models?

Another Bulshit game from Ubi.

Game is fucking dogshit. You'd think that a driving game would get the fucking driving and physics right

Try another car. Some of the starting cars are pretty terrible

Personally I thought the driving was ok, but its understandable if you don't want to suffer through the game for the entirity of the single player

I did, there were literally 0 new races

I think I'll just buy Forza Horizon 3 instead. I'm shafted because I bought this game two months before it went free so I'm like "fuck ubi" right now

The wiki is ass and incomplete as fuck. The RX-7 and the MX5 so far for me. I am 100% sure there are no other ones.

Car balance is shit, there are cars that are way better than others
Street: Skyline
Dirt: Skyline/RT35
Perf: Huayra, Exige
Raid: Basically anything goes, I personally use the Buggy, 370Z and the 3400K
Circuit: 458, Ford GT, Skyline

>has the Miata
All I needed to hear. Thanks senpai.

Are you talking about Missions or Skill Events?

missions, the diamond-shaped things in the map
besides that there's only the road stuff (speed, jump, slalom etc) to do, and they're boring as fuck

Driver San Francisco

What are you talking about? They are wesome. And I got to level 43 in three days just by those and doing only 5 or so missions. Anyhow, did you do any missions?

I have a weird problem with this game. The shadows or the lightning is very wrong. The shadows of things move while i move the car.... its really strange and i dont even know how to explain.

The story is overcringe, but the gameplay is fun i think.

>Bought
>This game

Just. What were you thinking?

I haven't played the game since June last year but I definitely remember the Skyline being OP as fuck for Street and Dirt spec, also very viable for Perf as well.

Ubisoft is pretty much the only company (with Nintendo) who tries out kinda new things nowadays. Yeah they had some bad things happen (Watchdogs), but i think many games of them are still solid. Maybe not 10/10 but still fun.

The noncommunicative online aspect is something i really like too. Nobody uses the chat, they all talk trough bomping in your car, honking and driving in circles around you.

The glitch stuff is neat af.

>Your middle aged father is punished vin disels brother
>Your dad the accountant gets framed for murder
>You must now play as your pa driving around town getting gang members put in jail without them suspecting a thing

Seriously though, every time I wanted to kind of like the characters that big dumb face with those big dumb glasses would pop up and I would be upset with myself for watching the cut scenes.

The main character looks like he gets his lunch packed by his wife before he heads off to the office, and no one suspects him to be a narc right of the bat? Christ.

I don't even know why they included a story. I like the intros for each area, but the overall DRUGS KILL ILLEGAL HUE stuff is over the top. Wish we couldve made an own character, too.

It stopped being viable for perf after the LaFerrari got buffed. Then Wild Run came and it nerfed the LaFerrari a little, so the Exige and Huayra came in its place

The driving really sucks, but you can adjust everything in the settings. For some reason they went with the most shit tier settings as the default, wich makes no sense.

I'm doing pretty good with a Dodge Challenger for street spec.

But yeah I've noticed there's too many players using the same cars and specs.

>Some of the starting cars are pretty terrible
The intro is so awful you can't help but wonder who the fuck greenlit this shit. Starting you off with the offroad shit is bad enough, but then it plops you into some old muscle car with interesting handling. Not to mention that the game defaults to having all assists on and doesn't even inform you about the option, so it feels even weirder than normal.

The worst part about this shit? They could've built on the intro with the generic underground street racing club and shaped it into a generic but palatable story, but no. They just had to make it some cringy """"mature"""" bullshit, and in a completely inexplicable twist the radio still acts like it's an all-ages game and fucking censors the songs.

> Wish we couldve made an own character, too.
this
>street class
>more like Gt-R class

I was using for some time challenger too, but it oversteer too much for me to be competetive during races

its not even an mmo

Upgrading your car takes way too long

Already 20 hours in the game and only got a Shelby which is kinda fast the rest is shit

When do I get maximum ferrari's and shit so I can finally drive around the map in a nice car?

To be honest, I never went further than changing the driving from manual to automatic

I'm going to get my shit destroyed switching from this tripe to Dirt Rally

got the game for free because of Ubi 30 and it is complete shit. the driving physique is horrible even for an arcade racer, by todays standards it doesnt look good and the mission/points/unlock design is very much inspired by MMOs. Tbh it reminded me of that shitty NFS F2P MMO I played a few years back I dont know why anyone wouldve paid 60$ for this when you can get games like Forza Horizon that are way more fun than this,

Spent all of my time going to Boston and its just a fucking road. Why did they do this?

If you want to be upset, watch your speed then watch the distance you are traveling.

The scaling of actual areas is wonky as fuck. I get that it was with good reason, but if you can't accurately do the whole country just do life size California and call it a day.

The driving model isn't great, but switching the handling to Hardcore definitely helps a lot. The game defaults to having all assists on, which are so strong that you're just giving the game a gentle suggestion on where to move the car instead of actually controlling it.

DR is fucking great btw, turn all assists off and git gud. It drives so well.

THIS FUCKING GAME

Not content with making me use Perf spec cars on FUCKING ICE, it's not made me use a fucking giant shitty pickup truck to pick up crates. Took me fucking 10 tries to actually do it.

THEN I've got to chase this fat Coburn fuck, again in this shitty fucking truck and NOT ANY OF THE CARS I'VE BEEN LEVELLING UP THE ENTIRE GAME FOR FUCKS SAKE. WHY LET ME CHOOSE AND LEVEL UP MY CARS IF YOU'RE GONNA GIVE ME A SHITTY DUMP TRUCK THAT CAN'T TURN, DRIFT, ACCELERATE OR FUCKING MOVE NOT LIKE A BOAT.

You. You are going to love the final mission.

>getting high
stopped reading there

the only major cities in the game are the ones that have dealers/tuners in them

the rest are pretty much filler

>Shiv is supposed to be a godly driver
>gets utterly destroyed by his literally who lackeys, who are driving shittier cars to boot

Fucking don't. I haven't been mad at a video game since 2006, I'm actually taking a second to calm down.

Seriously:

>Pickup is good on the dirt!
>Most of the mission is on the road
>He's faster than you by miles, get him in the corners!
>This shitty truck can't turn a fucking corner
>Oh well, I'll fill it with traffic then
>Cowburn dodges all the traffic easily in his fucking GO KART
>:^)

Legit taking a break for a vape

Rubberband AI is terrible in this game also

Sometimes they will literally teleport behind you or In front of you to close the gap.

I think I'm the only person who put perk points into the handling boosts.

Ever since that it's been a fuck load easier to drive cars, especially the off road ones.

Eh, I've never had that happen. There is a fucking ludicrous drafting boost that puts nitrous to shame, but once the AI drops out of range, then he's boned for good unless you really manage to fuck up. I've completed a couple of those super long races with a good minute of advantage over the second place.

You actually need every possible point in them (with the exception of the nitrous perks) if you want to reach level 1299 iirc

Its pretty surprising how few people online use the perks

That full nitro boost at the start of the match has gotten me some well needed cushion for those first turn collisions

I put all my perks into getting more perk points, planning to redistribute once I get to level 50. Are the handling/braking/acceleration boosts noticeable then?

All of the chase missions are horrible trash.

Its really just a painful experience of restarting over and over praying you can crush that twat before he gets into a straightaway.

>Street Nissan 370z
>turn more than 3 degrees over 60 MPH
>oversteer to fuck and go careening into a parked car

Where do I get my Skyline

New York or Miami iirc. It costs somewhere around 90-100 grand, forgot the exact number

And fucking barrel raid is fucking stupid.

I don't get any teleporting but I do get them breaking like 250 to catch up to me
One race I just couldn't beat, so I forced the car giving me trouble into a tree in one of the turns.
Within 10 seconds they were back behind me.
The next game I forced them off the road just before a highway turn so they ended up going in the opposite direction, and the exact same thing happened. It's trash.

This too, I ended up playing till the end of my first try, restarting, and using my knowledge of his pathing to T-bone him after a turn.

how to fastest get money and upgrades?

Out of interest, what race and what car? Doing the perf spec faction missions using the Viper was hell on earth, they were faster in a straight line and outcornered me with ease so my only real chance at victory was the AI fucking up, but the Zonda made everything easymodo as I could just carry ludicrous speed into turns and blow their doors off.

It looks a lot better than Forza Horizon 3.

It was really early game, maybe around level 15 (after you get dirt spec, but you use a street car). I was using my 370z, and was about twice the level of everyone else in the race.
I remember the other driver was called Anna and drove a blue muscle car. Pain in the ass.

>upgrades
Discover all the data stations on the west coast to see all the skill challenges. Use them to get a level 40+ golden part in all slots, be sure to avoid platinum medals because they level your car far slower. When you're done, your car level should be between 900-1000 if you're level 50, and then just go grind some plats in anything other than jump skills.

>money
This is a tougher one. Using the Send Friends function gets you a wad of cash every 12 hours and grinding the faction rank gets you a nice daily salary. I get around $150k daily from a minute's worth of clicking.

If you have a circuit spec car, Highway Child is easy money. It takes approx an hour to complete and nets you $160k per run, the main challenge is trying to keep your body from hating you as you're flooring the throttle for nearly 20 minutes at a time. The pause function will come in very handy indeed.

If there's one thing that irritates me is some of the spec possibilities.

>You can turn both RUF cars into a raid vehicle.
>You can turn a fucking arbarth 500 into a monster truck
>LOL NO you can't turn a Bentley Continental into a goddamn dirt spec vehicle.

Like what the fuck?

This tbqh.

Car manufacturers can be pretty picky about this sort of thing and it isn't limited to The Crew either.
