I agree with you. The difference between the first and second is the map design. The reason the design is different is because Battlefront 2 introduced sprinting. This required larger maps. Battlefront 2 is a lot of flash and is a more relaxed power fantasy where as 1 is actually a more skillful game. Not a balls to the walls schmoz where you just throw your body at the objective.

There's a mod for BF2 that adds all of the BF1 maps and a few custom ones; swbf conversion pack or something like that.

I used to agree with this because I liked the better maps of 1 over heros or space battles but modding 2 to have maps from 1 just makes it the superior choice
