Physical calculators such at TI's and IBM's. Not exactly cheap, but they're very durable.
Cooper Young
I'd probably say any older Mac. They can still run modern web browsers and do light video editing. You can normally get them used for like $200 depending on the year you choose. This, they're made for an education market so they are already expecting drops and scratches
Charles Parker
This user is right. There's a lot of rage nowadays about the chokehold TI has on the graphic calculator market, but the 83+ and 84+ models are very solid.
Lincoln Price
F91w has a resin crystal so it's easily scratched. Not at all sturdy, the strap falls off too in ~2 years of wearing it 24×7 although that's easily replaced with a Nylon Nato but still.
I'd recommend the Gshock DW 5610 instead ,not as cheap but it has none of the drawbacks of F91w.
Juan Garcia
This watch is a Masterpiece
Robert Hughes
not getting superior F105w-1a illuminator version stay plebby, akbar
2/10 watch wouldnt recommend. it didnt survive my autism. i chewed through the wristband.
Christian Brooks
they're pretty common to find in thrift stores used
Josiah Ramirez
Nice thing
Aiden Peterson

Justin Miller

The illuminator watches have a more fuzzy display due to the backlight. Enjoy your shitty contrast.

I thought the bodies were still resin on these despite the stainless steel strap
Liam Wood
wow you fucking retard
Henry Ward
it's made out of al so it's safe from drops don't worry
Ian Cruz
yeah, if you ignore that those era keyboards were held together by plastic rivets that can snap
they're also squeaky as shit when flexed even in the slightest way, they're solid keyboards but they're not as bombproof as everyone seems to think
Kayden Lopez
>also squeaky as shit when flexed not much with the metal body inside of it
I agree with the plastic rivets tho. a bolt mod is recommended to make them last a few more decades.
Asher Gutierrez
it's quite sturdy mate i tried to scratch it, the shit part is the glass. Within a year and it has a lot of scratches

I'm sure you can break them, but there's no shortage of 20+ year old keyboards that still work
Ian Diaz
Any chink digital that is not absolute garbage will last as long, this casio model is not really that special
Usable for a long time? Definitely. Will these be relevant in 15 years? No way.
Parker Scott
mine loses 2-3 seconds a month
John Long
Still be suitable for powering a second monitor probably.
Lincoln Stewart
Advertising worse specs than reality is common for such things.
Oliver Wright
Wait. Are the ti 83/4 calculators not used much in school anymore? I have used mine like every day for the last 10 years and it's still chugging along like new
Gabriel Scott
I have a 91w that I take to my computer classes hoping a Cred Forums would notice and say something
Hasn't happened yet...
Oliver Ward
tsk, I'm still using my Galaxy S2 w/o any issue

Christian Diaz
Hakko 888d Casio fx-115es
James Long
This one? It sure as hell look sexier
Logan Richardson
Nope, it's the exact opposite. Soft glass just bends. Hard glass shatters.
Gabriel Long
That's the crux, soft glass won't shatter but scratches easily
Gavin Bennett
My HP 50G cost half of what a new TI costs and is much more intuitive to use.
Joshua Miller
Still that Seiko is cool though
Nathaniel Jackson
HP calculators are awesome. I've got a 50g and 12C
Luke Harris
I tried to destroy one of these when I little, I used a hammer and chisel it took me forever to break it but could never get the bands off even with a saw
Julian Lopez
You want a BIFL electronic watch them just buy a 5610. Anything that breaks it would kill you, plus due to multiband 6, it will be correct to a fraction of a second for 15+ years until the solar charging battery won't hold a charge any longer.
Robert Harris
same here senpai
Lucas Martinez
>solar charging battery won't hold a charge any longer Are those expensive to replace? 'Cause I'd rather have a 7-10 year coin-cell battery that I can swap out myself, 2bh.
Christian Price
it's a metaphor, he basically destroy the band with wear and tear
Aaron Peterson
So sad that Lenovo is destroying the Motorola brand
Logan Richardson
I bought one of those classic cherry keyboards. Pretty good but I'm not exactly sure about durability. We'll see.
Logan Butler
That's still pretty bad
Mason Scott
swag. not pictured is a seiko 5 sport, and my dads old g shock from when he was a fireman
Aiden Young
I live in an european country where a lot of people have this watch and don't give a single fuck about it.
I don't know why people are so autistic about it being popular, cheap and reliable. It doesn't have style? Who the fuck cares? Half of the time people can't even fucking see it.
Jaxson Anderson
Yes, but we were discussing breaking when dropped.
Xavier White
This guy fucks!
Charles Hernandez
The 2011 ones are still selling for $200 used. And they're compatible with 3rd party SSDs.

F-91W is one of the best selling watches globally and of all time. For a significant number of kids that watch was the first one they had. For many professional adults who wanted a simple but practical and inexpensive watch which looked good - that was the one they got.
Angel Taylor
Can confirm Casio F91W is durable. I live right next to a forest, one of my mates lost F91W in the forest when we were drunk, I found it like 4 months later or something, still running with no damage, still good to this day.
Easton Wilson
Hell yeah, I'm running CM13 and it's smooth as silk Love this phone
Juan Ward
>w800 my nigga literally the best casio, shame the acrylic face protrueds and scratches so easily

I have the 880s. Durable af but the earpads are impossible to clean, they yellow quickly. Ended up getting a black pair off their site. If you can, change the fat heavy cable for something lighter.

It's beat up a but because I wear it all the time even when working on my car
I'm thinking of buying another and just turning the one I have now into an alarm clock by wiring up some car horns to the alarm buzzer.
Brody Myers
Nice, wasn't sure if anyone else was still using one. I've been up for an upgrade for a few months, but I have absolutely no problems with this phone and I like it a lot. Plus the jews at AT&T make upgrading so expensive now.
John Cruz
Because they're required to use for standardized testing.
Thomas Campbell
Good choice for sports and handy work, also suggest you this
Jeremiah Lewis
Hurdur pic related you can buy new earpads for like 25€ broski I have the dt-770 and love them to death.
Ryan Howard
High end DSLR's are durable as fuck. Both the electronics and the mechanics. You can take them out in rough terrain and dirty weather every day for 15 years and they'll still function perfectly - impressive.
Josiah Flores
I have had a ti-89 for years, use it almost every day cause its comfy, there's no real argument to use a calculator over smartphone applications or mathematics sw out there. Just comfy, anything else is because you're a giant fucking hipster like everyone else on this board.
Brody Perez

Came here to post 7506's.
Unless highest tier audiophile quality shit spoil you, v6's or 7506's are inexpensive, high quality, and durable except for their cushions.
Jeremiah Thomas
tfw I have both
Aaron Young
Can agree. I also have headphones more expensive than my V6. Only faults V6 have is the coily cord.
Xavier Cook
Yes,I have one
Carson Harris
I'd rather get the W-800H. It's a bit more g-shockesque woth a similar price and specs than the f-91w, with the exception that its's 100M water resist and has a 10yr battery module. Got mine for 30eur. Pic related.
Cooper Thomas
the symmetry makes it less triggering you fool
Noah Campbell
I don't get it. If you actually used the watch you would not have the original shitty resin strap, as it dies within the first 6 months of purchase. A cheap nato strap is the only way to use f91-w for a long period of time.
Josiah Ward
I dont think it was a metaphor
Jace Rogers
>less triggering Wew
Kevin Wright
>moot Literally who?
Wyatt Lopez
Is the backlight one of those shitty one led things or is it a full screen light?
Alexander Hernandez
Yeah I feel you. Got my F-91W on order but I already kind of want the A158 to go with it.
Tyler Lopez
Looks to be a bit bigger than the F-91W. Or am I mistaken?
Most watches are way too hueg for my skeletor wrists.
Sebastian Fisher
It's that shitty oneled thing yes, but desu I don't mind it since those cheap full screen lights tebd to be a bit smudgier on the display. It is bright enough to see anyway.
I think it is (my f-91w's on the way so I can't give a direct comparison) but its still quite small on the wrist.
James Perez
I'm torn between those two. I should probably just get one of each, right?
Wyatt Adams
It's $40 for both. People spend more money on f2p games than the cost of the 2 watches in a week.
Justin Ward
Nexus 6p. I'm good on a phone and have a backup screen protector if I ever have a big drop
Joseph Powell
I'm not one of those people but you're right, 40 bucks for two watches that will last me a long time aren't a bad investment. Now to find a store that has them.
Mason Young
It's also used to make bombs.
Justin Richardson
Yeah, the Casio watches with the fullscreen blue light have a slightly more washed out, less-contrasty display. So the light function is better, but regular viewing is slightly worse.
Pic related. The A168 on the left has the better light, the A158 the better regular display. Also the A158 is smaller and thinner.
Liam Cooper
Nice taste, user. I have a 70's Pulsar calc/alarm watch. Sells for a pretty penny last I checked.
My first introduction to Android. Was looking for something cheap just to test the water. Loved it. Had it for 2 years before I upgraded.
Still got the Moto G. Still flies. I put Nokia Here offline maps on it and now keep it in the car and use it as a sat nav.
Anthony Martinez
Still going strong. Look after it and it'll look after you.
Owen Lopez
Mah nigga. You upgrade to an SSD yet?
Matthew Roberts
I have no idea why nobody still uses this.
I still have my 30GB iPod video and people shit their pants when they realize they traded capacity for a fucking g touchscreen.
Gavin Miller
No but I'd be interested in doing this. Is there a fool proof "how to" guide or video out there you'd recommend?
Parker Howard
It's quite trivial. Just use a spudger to crack it open, put an mSATA drive in a ZIF IDE adapter, swap the HDD for it, and snap it back together.
Oliver Butler
Is there a Cred Forums approved watch I can use for scuba diving?
Lincoln Martinez
+1 for casio f-91w
Christian Robinson
I do use it and the strap is still in good shape, so I don't know what to tell you. I've intended to replace it when it gets worn out since I bought it, but that hasn't been necessary so far.
Thomas Stewart
I had one of those. It broke.
I no longer wear wrist watches, and i'm happier for it.
Jordan Evans
I've owned two iPod Mini. After the second one broke i said fuck it, never again Apple.
Lucas Clark
I have a nano 3 Dead battery because of course, and my phone can play media now so I have no need for a replacement

I sit in front of a ridiculously powerful math calculating machine all day, but every time i actually need some math done i reach for my trusty TI-83. It's ridiculous.
Jaxson Butler
I never understood the appeal of terrorist watches. Those rough plastic wristbands are really uncomfortable.
I don't know the watch brand of model I have since it doesn't seem to be printed anywhere, but it's a digital display with a compass and a cloth / Velcro band.
Jayden Adams
Which Seiko?

Samuel Robinson
They are great, but not ugly compared to something like Beats by dre!
Carson Carter

Landon Harris
Casio g-shock watches. Depending on the model and the features, you can get one for under 30 dollars. People have carried on using their 1980s G-Shocks daily, it's unbelievably durable. It's probably worth spending around 80 or 90 bucks for a solar and atomic model, so you don't have to do anything to maintain it.
Jonathan Jones
Even solar models need maintenance, but I getchu.
Jace Hill
It's a pity there aren't any affordable, analog, good looking, durable, radio controlled watches. Decent looking ones start at $350.

Best cheap earphones. Got them for 6 bucks each. Bought 5 pairs a few years ago and I'm still using the first pair.
Nicholas Rivera
I stopped using my haji watch after six years and the strap was in like new condition. Battery still works and on time after being in a drawer for a year (year 7).

Nice strap. Where'd you buy it?
Blake Sanchez
This one is terrible. After two years, the silent silver paint begins to wear away and the adjustable mechanism on the band gets too loose to wear comfortably.

it's a question of taste, many people dislike mechanical keyboards.
Nathan Foster
Why are they called terrorist watches?
Joseph Barnes
>rubber domes will last practically forever too user Well sure but he specifically asked for mechanical
Mason Lee
I have destroyed pretty much every dome keyboard I had under two years. I'm not even a gaymer.
Asher Rogers
I have it in the black rubber. It's a pretty great watch. It has a few superfluous features like the quick timezone changing, but I really dig the 80's A E S T H E T I C, and the similarity to the MGSV watch is bretty gud.

Joshua Clark
What color strap do you recommend for a Casio F91, since this has turned into basically a watch general
Sold my Apple Watch (worst purchase ever) and replaced it with this. Couldn't be happier 6 months in
Jose Scott
TI-89 is the absolute best and a must have for everyone. I love this device so much.
Ethan Nguyen
Thing is I bought 3 of these so far, because they would break every time. But in all honesty, they always lasted AT LEAST 10 months before breaking down, which is a solid investment to be honest. Sound quality is good, I recommend!
Grayson Bennett
Very nice user, I love this watch
You just have fat little sausage fingers, the buttons are great. These are the models when the buttons were seperate pieces still, the newer ones are shit because they are made of just one piece of plastic
Aiden Johnson
smart people dont need calculator watches. you should be able to do all calculations in your head such as cubes square roots and all divisions and multiplications / percentages.

Connor Morales
Yep. I have had the basic black resin version since 2013, when they were new. Mine's been pretty good for me so far, definitely one of Casio's better budget watches.

Depends on what you need it for. If you plan on wearing the watch every single day and giving it a beating, DW5600
But if you just want a cheap, durable, practical watch to wear at work, at the gym, etc, while wearing a nicer watch on the side, F91 or similar models. Even though it's not a G, it's still durable
DW5600 is also $40 on Amazon. Still dirt cheap.

I've had pic related, a J6710DW, for 3 years, print maybe 15 colour pages a week. No problems with the print head and ink economy seens legit on all but the highest quality settings. Might be more than you need but I rate it. Wouldn't flinch on buying another Brother, but i want a laser for the next one, see what they offer I guess.

I'll check that one out, thx. Altho I'm looking for a laser one too

This, by far, the only reasonable thing in this entire thread. I've had one for also seven years, still going strong.
Also, G-2300 master race, reporting in.

Yeah let me just take a 50+$ watch to a place where it's guaranteed to get damaged.

The TI-82s were built so much better than the TI-84s. I lost the cover for my 84 and before long, the screen had shattered because the LCD is just exposed. On the 82, the screen is protected by a plastic shield. It's practically indestructible. Its one weakness is the ribbon cable that connects the LCD driver board to the LCD itself. Sometimes, they'll get blank lines down the screen because the solder joints on the ribbon cable start to crack, and it's not easily fixable.

What would the cheapest solar, atomic, and water resistant digital watch cost?
