There is still a decent place for communism/socialism in India politically. But it isnt mainstream outside a couple of sates

The communist parties in kerala dont know how to manage the economy now with socialist principles. Most of India isnt a socialist/communist economy, it is mainly capitalist with few socialist safety nets perhaps... kinda like Europe. The standards of living of the average Indian are going to improve anyway since we are doing well economically and the current government seems competent enough to ensure it happens
