Sure on absolute numbers there's still quite a few left, I was simply commenting on the 100% pure thing, which after 500 years since European arrival is not as straightforward. Most of the Amerindians in Mexico can simply pass as mestizos on just putting Western clothes on and speaking Spanish, and over the last couple of centuries they've simply been "disapearing" by blending in, which does fortunately finally appears to be reversing as people are now taking pride in their heritage in larger numbers. Having said that many of the indigenous peoples here are starting to look a lot like Native Americans tribes in the US in that many are now mostly mixed peoples themselves.

I researched my genealogy to see if I had injun blood and could get free shit and tax breaks, but no luck unfortunately. I still think that my grandfather was half-native, but he grew up in a time and place when it was best if others didn't know about that, so I think he may have made sure that the information wasn't available.

The way I see it, if you're in southern Norway, a Norwegian is a native. If you're in northern Norway and a Sammi, you're a native.

That's true. Norwegian samiland is actually half of Norway, stretching from Trondheim and all the way up to the russian border.

But it has been trade with southern Norway and northern Norway for many thousand years. Bergen city to northern Norway is an very old trading route which still exist today, it's called "Hurtigtuten". Before it was a goods and passenger route, now its more of an goods and tourist route.

Might not apply to him but I've seen people say since their distant ancenstors were from Asia/Oceania they aren't native to the Americas.
Which is completley stupid since it would have happened well over 10,000 years ago which is mroe than enough for hundreds of languages and cultures to develop and diversify.

I legitimatley think that trying to put down Native American cultures was the biggest mistake of whites.
Partially because now the governments are willing to shell out a lot for repirations, but also because they're cultures are genuinely interesting and (I think) they would have been great allies had relations not come down to genocide.

Why? Granted their features are somewhat outside the range of what we generally appreciate in the West and their culture/traditions are extreme enough adaptations (not unlike the inuit) that culture shock may be unavoidable, nevermind what the modern world/Australians have done to them, but there appears to be plenty of examples of half aboriginals that can bridge the gap as in pictured. I frankly find some of their conceptions like the dreaming or walkabouts fascinating, nevermind is precissely their seeming so alien that makes them interesting.
