We got into massive debt for the American people who will then go on to make a lot of money for the land that they now have after the war. Why should the people of The British Isles or our African holdings pay to help fund your new Land? And so what some criminals where sent over? You were importing tens of thousands of slave anyway, criminals where going to be doing hard labour if they didn't die of yellow fever first.
