I realized I don't know shit about the internal politics there.
Which countries hate/love each other? Why? How do the politics differ, which are right and which are left? Why? Which country is bullied the most? Which country is the most powerful? What questions are important in the regional politics?
>I realized I don't know shit about the internal politics there. Well, me neither

Pinochet was evil, not a meme

Bolivia is the most bullied Venezuela bullies itself Ecuador is the guy that you have good relations with but don't really care too much about Argentina, Chile and Colombia are the cool kids Paraguay and peru are the guys that look like a native and are chill Brazil is the loud monkey Guyana, Guayana and Suriname are the shady guys that nobody really knows
I've only meet a few Argentinians here in rio and never went to another S.A country, probably never will.
Kevin Russell
>and they will probably annex us soon
Justin Sanders
No real hate. There's sports hate but that's just a meme.
Our new government is criticizing Venezuela, tho.
Parker Rivera
Chile is the only true right wing country, but they have la gorda now and wanna play commies.
So, i would say Mexico, Colombia to the right(Argentina wanna be part of the club now) and the rest are dirty leftist.
>What questions are important in the regional politics?
USA, friend or ally?

The only real hatred is from Bolivia to Chile because they became a landlocked country after war with Chile, they still want some SEA.

My meme is not important... What is important is what I'm going to post. I just fucking hate this board and the shit posters feasting on its bandwidth. My whole post is just cold, shit posting ... and I always wanted to get banned violently. This is the time of shit posting and no poster is worth saving. And I will post as many as I can. It's time for me to submit... and it's time for me to post. My shit posting crusade begins here.

Perú wuvs everyone.
Asher Long
>Which countries hate/love each other? Why? Colombia and Venezuela share a hate/love relationship but it's mostly irrelevant until members of the state of any of both countries want to rattle the machetes a bit.
Bolivia have a grudge against Chile because muh sea muh development. Peruvians are still butthurt Chile does all they do better and also does what they don't.
Argentina hates us all except Uruguay and maybe Southern Brazil. They believe they're too european and to be honest, they are. That's why they're pretty much Germanistan but with Bolivians instead of Syrians.
>How do the politics differ, which are right and which are left? Why? In my country, Far Right = fascistic neoliberal and religious fucks which are probably the biggest hypocrites out there and probably are involved with former paramilitares and other psychopathic murderous groups. Also edgelords. Far Left = Hippies, imported SJW bullshit, rainbow flavours of faggot, guerrilleros, former guerrilleros, potheads, some public college students, and other pinko scum, plus some special flavour of edgelords. In both cases they care more about making the govt. bigger.
>Which country is bullied the most? Bolivia by far, then maybe Paraguay or Peru?
>Which country is the most powerful? Assuming powerful = army, Brazil probably. Then maybe between us, chile and peru. Taking in account economy then we're below both Peru and Chile.
>What questions are important in the regional politics? Anything related to corruption and making our governments bigger than they should. Our bureaucracies are disgusting.
The general consensus here is that latin america is poorer than us and that's it
Gabriel Russell

Which countries hate/love each other? Why? Bolivia hates Chile because they are poor and got cucked into landlock
How do the politics differ, which are right and which are left? Why? Used to be a leftist hellhole but now people are starting to see how leftists wrecked everyone and things are changing with Macri in Argentina and general sentiment in BR. Our president is a bitch though, he is only surfing the hatred for the commies but gladly allied himself with one to get elected.
Which country is bullied the most? Bolivia. They are dirty immigrant scum though. Can't handle the Bolivians and Chileans selling shit gimmicks and flute music in my city.
Which country is the most powerful? Brazil
What questions are important in the regional politics? Everyone is looking over Venezuela imploding,

Tell that to the Japs. To this day they fervently believe that the bombs were a monstrous atrocity.
Isaac Phillips
difference is Japan was on the brink of surrender when you dropped the bombs m8 Chile never invaded Bolivia proper iirc
Zachary Russell
>Japan was on the brink of surrender >Japan >Surrender
You don't read history much do you? We're talking about the original suicide bombers and people who would throw their children and then themselves off cliffs to preserve their family's honor.
I mean it's beautiful that you cannot comprehend such zealotry but you're simply uninformed.
Brandon White
your patronizing attitude is flattering but it doesn't change the facts that japanese command was trying to end the war at that point they just wanted to drag it out more to try and get a better deal than the Potsdam declaration
Nicholas Richardson
We live in a circle jerk of hate.
Camden Scott
You deserve the patronizing attitude. You've earned it with your posts. You're arguing that the bombs were unjustified. Again, if you read your history you would know that atomic bombs we're a well known thing for quite some time. We dropped hundreds of thousands of messages in those cities telling the population to run/surrender.
They knew, they straight up KNEW they were all going to die. But it was an honorable death and all for the glory of the emperor.
Kayden Miller
>You're arguing that the bombs were unjustified. I did no such thing my retarded friend. My point was that the South American Pacific War of 1879 was in no way comparable the War of the Pacific in WW2 and that the comparison is infantile at best, ignorant at worst.
And if you knew your own history you'd know that the Allied propaganda campaign was long reaching (and ultimately probably influential in getting the Japanese to surrender) but that most Japanese were very skeptical of anything it said. Especially before Hiroshima.
Dylan Baker
HOW???? I want one.
Connor Lee
Alright now you're just being convoluted. I was originally referencing the 'talk shit get hit'. Also, lets visit these sentences
>And if you knew your own history you'd know that the Allied propaganda campaign was long reaching (and ultimately probably influential in getting the Japanese to surrender) but that most Japanese were very skeptical of anything it said. Especially before Hiroshima.
That is Axis-sympathetic.
Leo Gray
>Alright now you're just being convoluted. no, you read way too much into my short comment and decided to go on a nationalistic rant
>That is Axis-sympathetic. no it's not and it'd be irrelevant even if it were, reality doesn't pick a side
Bentley Torres
>Which countries hate/love each other? Why? bolivia hates us because we took their sea peru is mad at us also because we administrated their capital Lima during 3 years brasil hates itself venezuela hates USA ecuador had problems with peru, and we helped them when they went to war argentina/chile have a healthy relationship nowadays, but we used to hate each other a few decades ago uruguay is cute, everybody loves them argentina/brasil have a sports rivalry paraguay got hard rekt by brasil, argentina and urugauy so maybe they are angry at them guyanas shouldn't even be in this continent colombia/venezuela are brothers like argentina/uruguay
>How do the politics differ, which are right and >which are left? Why?
right: chile (even with our "leftist" presitent, we have been right since the 73). colombia, peru, argentina is getting closer to the right with macri
middle: uruguay
left: venezuela, bolivia, ecuador, brazil
idk: paraguay, guyanas
>Which country is bullied the most? bolivia and paraguay
>Which country is the most powerful? brasil
>What questions are important in the regional >politics?
idk what you mean, buy nowadays south america is separated into 2 blocks (wich are not mutually exclusive): mercosur (leftist) and alianza del pacifico (right-wingers) so it's something to take into account
Fuck, I forgot Uruguay Anyway Uruguay is the center-leftist guy that smokes weed
Jeremiah Johnson
Pact with Bolivia was a mistake. A MISTAKE. Should've remained neutral. Bolivia chimped out and we had to pay the price.
Brody Evans
I'm sorry if my comments aren't verbatim American nationalist propaganda I believe my post was short and clear, try rereading it if it was too complex for you
fwiw I think the nukes were unnecessary but not necessarily unjustified Japan was considering surrender even well before the Potsdam declaration, they weren't blind they knew the war was lost but they wanted to bait the Allies into a bloody battle to try and force better terms the bombings were a quick and effective way to state that the only option was a prompt unconditional surrender and it turned out to work pretty well
Landon Miller
How is Bachelet seen in your countries?
Parker Harris
>Which countries hate/love each other? Why? Argentina/Chile have somewhat a Canada/USA relation, full of banter. Bolivia, Perú hate us based on past wars and it's consequences Venezuela hates everything that's related to USA Ecuador and Colombia suck USA's dick Colombia is in a process of self-destruction Brazil hates itself >How do the politics differ, which are right and which are left? Why? Costa Rica hates it's neighbors Everything's right winged except Bolivia and Venezuela (Maybe Uruguay too) There's no real left parties in Chile at least, they all have "socialist" and "communist" on it but all the parties are an endogamous mass of corporativistic collar thieves >Which country is bullied the most? Used to be Perú and Bolivia, now it is Venezuela >Which country is the most powerful? Brazil and Mexico are the most powerful LatAm countries >What questions are important in the regional politics? Do you like choripan, tacos, feijoada or arepas?
Connor Carter
>they wanted to bait the Allies into a bloody battle
100% true. Do you know why? Do you know why?
>Kill as many as you can before going down.
Holy hell would you make for a shitty officer. Sounds like you'd end up killing your own people over feelings. During war. The projections were MILLION+MILLION+MILLION+MILLION+MILLION+MILLION of lives lost on both sides.
Kill a few hundred thousand quickly, or add years of torment to the worst war humanity has ever seen and kill millions. It's not even a decision kiddo. Good troll. I got riled.
Adrian Foster
what's even your point? you can be as angry as you like but that doesn't make you coherent
Jaxon Murphy
My point is obvious. The Nukes were completely deserved. You've been arguing the opposite.
Sebastian Flores
As a concerned neighbor of the southern Pacific Ocean, all I can say is: America please nuke Japan again.
Daniel Nguyen
>Deserved
The first nuke, yes. The second...meh, maybe not.
Nathaniel Evans
> unconditional surrender
This. Murricans forget that the 'muh lives saved' argument falls flat when it was their unwillingness to even consider anything other than unconditional surrender that kept the war going.
Gavin Davis
>You've been arguing the opposite. are you illiterate or dense on purpose?
Isaac Lopez
This is Cred Forums why would anyone know of internal politics.

My words fall on deaf ears.

I can make up opinions and claim you have them and write paragraphs against them too but that would make me look like an idiot so I won't
Owen Turner
As you can see from our barely being mentioned in this thread, despite being in objective terms one of the powerhouses in the region, and nevermind Central America and the Carbbean have also been neglected, South Americans have this annoying habit of equating their region with Latin America.
In a way they're not wrong, we do remain somewhat apart in all the other three geopolitical areas and each of these pretty much concerns itself with their own affairs. For all the talk of brotherhood Latin America does remainj very much balkanized and fragmented.
In this century our role has been not unlike that traditionally played by the UK in Europe in regards to South America, acting as a counterbalance to power, in this case Brasil and through the Pacific Alliance to Mercosur. We play a much more neutral role in the Caribbean and act more dominant in Central America although our policy in that region is nominally one of silent partnership and we don't overtly influence their domestic affairs Having said that we are a strong pressence in terms of trade and media.
Oliver Cooper
We're right wing desu. Neoliberal economic policies, xenophobia and a hatred of commies.

Speaking for Central America here and really I don't see anything in common between us (and by us I mean Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador) besides violence kek
We truly don't like to think about each other, I have heard Costa Rica doesn't like Nicaragua that much because of their immigrants, but other than that we truly don't give a shit about what our neighbors do.
Noah Watson

Are you an actual pinolero or just a tourist?
Parker Hill
This. South American have this annoying tendency to think everything North of Colombia doesn't exist. We have a higher per capita (PPP) than Peru and Ecuador and are barely mentioned. We're also set to get more tourists than Brazil this year despite having 1/20 the population.
David Reyes

All you need to know is that the indians goofed by not slicing the spainiard's necks in their sleep whenever the disembarked.
Andrew Cooper
Kek, I mostly meant Central America but you do realize your full economy is the same size as Mexico City's don't you? And while we really don't buy much of anything from you, are you aware you buy from us almost as much as you do from Brasil? We are in fact the Spanish speaking country that you buy the most from and it stands to reason given we are the largest economy in the trade bloc that you belong to.
