The reason they called themself Islamic State is because they believe that Islam itself is a state, though state is an imperfect translation of Dawlah. 1) Dublin gets a disproportionate amount of funding based purely on population count due to it being the largest economic centre and highest population density city we have.
2) There's an urban/rural cultural divide between it and everywhere else besides Cork & Galway city, leading to lots of people finding it strange and foreign.
3) It's considered the cultural capital of the country despite being dominated by foreign influence for centuries, and while you can still make a strong case for it being our most important 'location' culturally a lot of people outside of it have their knickers in a twist over its perceived Britishness.
4) It's got the highest education standards in the country, the best infrastructure, and access to the best port for dealing with Britain and Europe so all the multinationals go there and everywhere else is jelly as fuck over it.
5) Dubliners have a bit of a bad rep due to its status as a hub for criminal gangs and most country folk only interacting with them when they come down here for their holidays, which a fair few tend to act like prats during.
6) You guys are the deciding factot in most elections due to your sheer size alone so you're a bit of a scapegoat for people unhappy with the government.
